2pints-mate 0
Thats interesting. Won't hold my breath though. Liverpool did get a good result, but temper it with the fact that it was Derby they were playing. We'll need to assess things properly around October/November time. Aston Villa today. Tubby Beaver 209
I think terracing should be re-introduced. It was much better then in terms of atmosphere. There is no reason why, with proper policing and stewarding that terracing can't be safe to have at football games.
bobby12 0
6-0 poetry in motion. I'm regretting not betting on liverpool for the title this year now. i was speaking confidently of it, but failed to put some money down to really hanko my smugness.
lin 0
Chelsea losing to Aston Villa. I think this year really is going to be slightly different.

thursday 1
Man U from being rubbish last week are now 2 points behind. But still rubbish probably.
rach 1
Definitely looks like it will be interesting this year and good to see Aston Villa beat Chelsea. United were dreadful in the first half, better in the 2nd when we put a striker on (doh!). Ronaldo will be back next game and Rooney either then or soon after, so I expect Uniteds football to look much better from now. Just an early season blip. Liverpool are looking impressive though. Spurs beat Derby recently though 4-0 and should have scored more, so perhaps we shouldn't read that much into it. Hopefully
BagOfCrisps 24
2pints will be in a mourning all today I think. Good on Aston Villa. I'm really looking forward to how things turn out this season. There is definitely an air of "something different" going on. Whether that will last or not is another matter but it is fun while it lasts.
pie-eater 207
We got beat. Oh well, we'll have to leave it for another week to get back up top
BagOfCrisps 24
What is the footie thread doing on page 2???!!! We can't have that. I would have thought Emile Heskeys call up for England would have resulted in at least a few yippee posts!

ShinyDiscoBall 2
I see Hargreaves is injured now. Are there any left?! It will actually be interesting to watch this game and see what team they put out there. You never know they might end up being better than the usually mob.

bobby12 0
what resolution do u get sopcast in? for me it is about 250 pixels wide - is there some way to increase that? If I could get it in 600pix then it would be enough.
