veronica 2
Anyone else catch the new American Idol auditions this weekend? Very entertaining as always. It's hard to believe how some people can be stupid enough to say some of the things they say - but I suppose some of it is wanting to be on tv. That guy who really did look like a monkey!?! That geek guy and Big Red were pretty funny too.
amandanism 0
hahaha i love the auditions. it's hollywood week coming up this week.
thursday 1
I follow this with great interest. Let me see, with Taylor last season, this season a blonde girl will win.
me jane 0
I wasn't sure if some of those people were serious. Especially the mother & daughter both braless & droopy with matching smudged scarlet lipsticks & wigs.
Error404 0
But they looked SO serious?! Very funny to watch.
cal 6
Hollywood Week already? You must be a few weeks ahead of us then I suppose then if there are 7 auditions and we are getting 2 a week. Those permasmile half-Indian siblings were good singers, can imagine them going far.
thursday 1
yes Hollywood week starting tomorrow. Too many faces for anyone to stand out just yet. All a blur to me at the moment.
big-will 7
Don't tell us results early will you - we're a few weeks behind you guys.
veronica 2
I suppose they have to sign some "I dont mind looking silly" form before they take the audition. How many people do they say are there at 1 place - 10000 or so? How long must it take to do that many auditions??
Yuki's Passion 1
whats hollywood week? I caught a little bit of some auditions but thought it was extremely boring. How could some of those people, who honestly cant sing for shite, turn up and think they'll make it? Why even bother?
thursday 1
last night's episode was great as most of the rabble who made it to Hollywood were sent home. Some surprises there too.
veronica 2
After the first auditions they get it down to about 200 people - all of who get a "golden ticket to Hollywood" when they pass that first audition. Basically they just all gather in Hollywood in a theater for further auditions and whittle the number down to 24 (?). Not sure, but I think it lasts a week
dale#1 1
They say 100,000 people. So, each person say 3 minutes on average - that's 5000 hours of auditions!! Hmmm, perhaps they filter who gets through to Simon and gang......
me jane 0
Did anyone see it last night? Was impressed by that Sundance guy.
cal 6
Yeah he was good. Did you see that tv interview with Paula Abdul of late - she seemed more than just a bit out of it, fuelling rumors of her pills/booze rumors.
HeatherLocklearRocks 1
I think we can safely say the 3 judges don't sit through 5000 hours of audition.
orinoco 0
This year there seems to be a lot of "oh please let me try again, what can I do to get through" talk going on......

thursday 1
We're live with the States. Down to last 24 now. Not going to post any results so won't spoil your fun, but......
cal 6
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many ads... and they are all the same, just for Fox programs. I'm sure there are more than last year. Next week, count them - every 5 minutes.
merryJim 1
I noticed that too - double what it was last year I reckon.
thursday 1
the 12 boys sang last night. DULL!! Freakin playing it safe. They should all be voted off. The only thing worth listening to was Simon's cooments.
slimeypete 0
Don't say too much thursday! I wonder why they broadcast it 3 weeks or so late here. I almost always do not like the singing. The contest is interesting because of the comments and the competition aspect.
thursday 1
nope, not saying a word, 'cept the girls sang last night.
miles-t 0
I had never seen it before this season - looking forward to seeing how it progresses. There are some really fools in those auditions. Does it get more "serious" when it gets to be only decent singers?
