Tubby Beaver 209
pictures....I7d prefer some doggy bags!!! get those pies over here!!!
mina2 6
SirJib should have planned that new Pie Shop business. He'd have had orders to get him started from the pie maniacs on here. I am really into ice-cream at the moment. There's a place I know in Takasaki that sells some amazing flavours. The chocolate toffee caramel one is just incredible. I'm just afraid that they are about 1000 calories a go. Must control.
SirJibAlot 0
I can't make pie for squat, but Lady Jib, she makes some awesome deserts.
pie-eater 207
The kind of pies I crave you eat before desert.

cheeseman 1
Hello smoking-marion. Here I am I really think you should quit the smoking though. You will not get the full flavour of the cheese if you don't.
rach 1
I have eaten a lot of cheese while I have been here this time. I had some white stilton & apricots tonight after dinner. Very more-ish.
thursday 1
I usually detest, hate, loath, hate, hate chocolate. But once in a while I need to scoff down a few bars. I used to scoff this stuff until it was pulled. but now it's back... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/08/18/nwispa118.xml
BagOfCrisps 24
I read about that the other day in the Guardian. I'll have one.
thursday 1
I am serious when I say 23 millions bars will not be enough. The fat chicks here would horde that many in one go.
rach 1
Over summer I have had a bit of clotted cream fudge. Absolutely delicious it was, but very naughty.
Tubby Beaver 209
wispas....nah, I much prefer Aero's to them. Clotted cream, with jam and scones...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
scouser 4
I submit the little quaint Tea Shop near Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire as having the best scones/cream/jam. I was there with the lady and we ordered two. We ended up eating nothing else for the rest of the day. It was huge - and really excellent tasting too. I should have taken a photo. Tubby Beaver 209
I remember having some of the best tea-scone-cream-jam combo while I was hiking thru the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. That place is awesome, rainforest forever, then all of a sudden you pop out onto a couple of tea plantations and a Tea House where you can be very civilised and have some of the best Afternoon tea. Very Colonial British!! Spiffing
pie-eater 207
I prefer savoury to sweet.
Tubby Beaver 209
Just got sent a package from my parents, don't think I've ever been happier to see Walkers crisps, Galaxy chocolate, Dairy Milk Chocolate and one with Crunchie bits, Primula spreading cheese!!! oooooooooohhhhhhh yeah I love getting food parcels, no pies though.... igloo 3
I only ever got one or two packages... it just seemed too expensive to send over. I now just wait until I go home myself and bring back a suitcase full.
excuse me 0
When I come back to Japan after been out for a few weeks I always go for some ramen and gyoza. Good stuff.
grungy-gonads 54
A good hirekatsu teishoku is my "I'm back in Japan" meal. Yummy.
Tubby Beaver 209
I love gyoza!!! mmm I know its not really Japanese food, but my gf's mum makes quality Potato Salad. I much prefer J-potato salad to potato salad from back home. Also interestingly, she makes some of the best pizza I have ever eaten.
BettyBoo! 0
Now you mention it, I have had some amazing potato salads here as well. Yum. Not had an amazing pizza yet though I haven't been lucky enough to try anyones homemade versions. I can make a decent one myself though
Tubby Beaver 209
Its strange what comes to be described as delicious eh?? I would never have described a Potato salad as being delicious back home, its just a potato salad FFS!!!!
cheeseman 1
I remember once having a potato salad and cheese sandwich after finding out that we had run out of ham, tomatoes and other goodies. It was actually very nice. (Looking back, probably the cheese that did that.)
