sanjo 2
Lots of snow, still falling fairly well this week. What d'ya reckon? Longer season than normal. I know the last few seasons seem to have dried up real quickly, but there wasn't as much snow then and it seems to be snowing more now as well.

peter01.com 0
Will resorts stay open for longer than they originally planned if the snow sticks around or just think it's not worth it and close up shop with all that snow?
mattlucas 0
Not sure what happens here but most other places close up regardless of snow. There are always people that want to ski but usually those people don't spend the money that the resorts need. The resorts need families that spend loads of money and come late March/early April these families have moved onto other things.
nagoid 4
Yeah most will close as toque said, that and staffing issues etc just not worth it. Got to climb.
dave rave 0
I know in the staes some places have to close on the dates no matter what the snow cond. because of leases with the stae parks.
merryJim 1
I was up in Nagano recently (shiga) and it was pretty empyty, cant see them wanting to extend a season more than they planned for just for a few hardcore nuts
Yuki's Passion 1
I like hiking up the mountain to get my tracks. I feel like I treasure each turn and its more meaningful. Except when the snowboots sink in a meter each step eh FF? Many of my J-mates will only ski where they have to hike to get in. 山と魂 (yama to tamashii; kinda similar to yamatodamashi eh?) is what they said. mountain and soul.

big-will 7
Naeba is usually very small and very poor by then. Kagura is the place over in that area.
Karnidge 2
At least this year even if they close at the same time, there will still be a lot of snow about instead of half snow <> half brown/green.
