big-will 7
Just saw a report where they asked people how many keitai mails they sent a day...... The average was "over 100". Can you believe that?
sakebomb 0
100- be lucky to send 2 a week! Email is another story though!
gamera 0
Maybe teenagers and young '20s can do that much a day! Too hard for me with those small keys for farsighted oyaji eyes and thick fingers. Nothing works!
oo 1
It would be interesting to see a sample of what their mails were. Good for a laugh.
number9 0
Yeah kids can touch type, and that's their form of passing notes during class, etc.
maoriboy 0
Yeah well I surprised myself by sending over 400 in a month...crazy!! I dont know how I did it
1 4
Are they things like "Getting on the bus now, how about you?"
Yuki's Passion 1
親指文化!! anywhere from 0-30/day
maoriboy 0
yeah most of them are really short, like "see ya there" etc. not 1000 word epics or anything like that
tsondaboy 0
Mine average is around 10 mail/day. Usually I am too lazy to write so I just call. Kids can’t afford to call because the monthly bill reaches sky-high and the parents get pissed of. So they stick to mails that are cheaper. It used to be that way for me too when I was in high school.
mattlucas 0
I'm anywhere from 0-40 a day But they are usually no more than 100 characters I never call and in a month don't talk more than 5 or 6 minutes on my keitei

number9 0
There are unlimited packet plans for email & web, but there are no unlimited talk plans, unlike in NA. So, very different usage patterns. How are things in Europe? I hear texting is quite popular.
white-void 0
I sent a few when I first got a keitai but I thought as well as being annoying to try and 'type', it was just getting ridiculous.
number9 0
Oh yeah, and the predictive IME really helps for entering Japanese texts into local handsets, but almost all phones (except for the Vodafone SE global model) don't have it for English (like they do in the UK, called T9 or something). So, most of my keitai mails are in Japanese, even to native English speakers if their Japanese is good enough.
viv&kev 0
Just a few when needed - probably about 5 a week.
slimeypete 0
Probably just a few a day. I find those things pretty tedious for the most part.

I have friends that can type the hall Bible in their phones in less than 1 hour!
sunrise 0
I don't have keitai mail enabled on my phone. I have enough to deal with regular emails.
