Good things about staying in hotels

Recommended Posts

I've had to stay in a few recently in Tokyo and Osaka for work. Actually enjoyed it, although I can see it becoming very tiresome if you do it quite often.

Big breakfasts are a highlight, I love going down for a big buffet breakfast and having enough for the whole day.

Often though I find the rooms to be either too hot or cold and sometimes difficult to adjust that. That's annoying.

I like love hotels, as long as the pube detail has done their work zealously. I find one of the good things about staying in them is that you usually get a good shag.

Or did I miss the point of this topic somewhere?

After college I was working on a graduate program for a fairly big company and we had 4 day long training courses - and stayed in expensive hotels. They were fun. I missed a fair few breakfasts with a hangover actually. The ones I had were really good though.

That sounds cool! \:\)

I quickly tire of hotels. If you're not paying and its a nice place and you are missing the normal work, then they can take on a very attractive light.

Do you usually need to worry about that Im sexy?

My mansion has reinforced concrete (鉄筋コンクリート) so noise is never an issue :p

I do enjoy some of the theme rooms though - been to some really weird places eek.gif \:D

I kinda like some of the love hotels which have karaoke too... there are soo many good uses for microphones arent there? ;\)

Ive had a spiderman themed room, mirrored room, some kinda fireman room, there was a pole you could slide down and land on the bed, a UFO, etc...

You guys sure get around... spiderman? hmmm, remind me not to go to that one. Water slides sound better.

Because of jobs I had, I've gotten to stay in some great hotels (that I didn't have to pay for). My favourite Japanese breakfast was at the Royal Park Hotel in Yokohoma/Sakuragicho - the toothpicks were made from bamboo!

Rusutsu Resort had some good things to say about it, but was also pretty wierd, with it's strange er, 'theme' areas but who can beat it for free, including free lift pass and a couple of nice pianos.

Also really loved the Royal Hotel in Osaka, where we got to stay for a week.

The worst place we stayed was in Osaka last Xmas nite, where they neglected to tell us that the only rooms left were on the smoking floor (didn't know there was such a thing). It was horrible. Like sleeping in an ashtray. Had to sleep with windows wide open on a cold nite.

My only experience of love hotels has been on 2 occasions, both which I didn't find particularly conjucive to the mood at hand. Guess I just missed out on the good ones...

A water slide that sounds like fun. Do they exist Kintaro?

I have stayed in 2 love hotels, they weren't anything special no real themes going on apart from porn I suppose.

Where do all these wonderful crazy themed ones live then?

I have stayed in a few love hotels (sometimes on my own as I couldn't really find anywhere else - really sad, another story!)

There was one place in Fukushima though and it was really really terrible. Not nice at all, it was a last resort late at night and it was a right grubby place. I won't forget that one.

Some of them look super clean and super sparkling, I wouldn't mind seeing a really good one.

I have only had the chance to stay in expensive hotels very rarely. But I have really enjoyed it when I was there. And yes the breakfasts were really excellent. Not good for a dieting TheOrange. shifty.gif
