rach 1
The Shining is pretty cool, and its on AXN this afternoon. It's gonna be a sit-in weekend with food, drink and the air-con.
Ocean11 0
The Shining is great! It's the only scary horror flick I've seen. TUESDAY. ha ha, made yer jump! For some good sickly fun, Eraserhead is good too.
C.Frog 0
My all time favourite is Point Break ------------------ Cheers, C.Frog
Guest
I don't know about favorite, but You Only Live Twice got me "into" Japan in the first place and I still have a soft spot for it. A fun "meglomaniac wanting to destroy the earth from a volcano" classic Bond movie - they just don't seem to make them like that anymore do they?
Guest
PS Hey, anyone here actually know where that mountain was that was used for Blofelds base in the movie??
klingon 10
Blofelds hideout (well the outside scenery of the mountain crater etc) was filmed around Mt Aso in Kyushu. The scenes with Little Nellie just before that was shot in Spain. >> If my memory servers me correctly.
amandanism 0
memento. and kevin smith movies.

barok 0
yep. memento came out in 2001. it was a great movie, but only had limited distribution. maybe that's why you may not have heard of it.
BigSausage 0
I saw Oceans11 last night for the first time (the recent one) - and it was really good. Not my favorite movie, but real good fun.
explo-sieve 0
Watcehd Die Hard last night. Still the best action movie >>
kobet 0
Not favorite, but as well as renting the dire Cube, also watched Boogie Nights for the first time. Very entertained. (Although anything would be entertaining after Cube).
Ocean11 0
Cube?! Now that's a good film. We could do with more original film-making like that!
cho-kakkoi 0
Anyone seen Minority Report yet?
rach 1
My friend is a Back to the Future fan (understatement), and will be having the new DVDs of the movies sent to her today. She's have a "party" to celebrate tonight, and I have the dubious honour of being invited.......suppose it MIGHT be fun?! !?
Yuki's Passion 1
One of my favs - The Usual Suspects. An awesome movie!! And, I just saw SIGNS last night. I think Mel Gibson was terrific and should be nominated for an Oscar for that role.
rach 1
Signs - was it good? I heard the end was a bit crap................
hide 0
Anyone seen 13 Days (on Cuba missile crisis movie with Kev Costner)? Any good?

enderzero 0
I liked 13 Days. A very good historically based movie. I learned quite a bit about that particular episode. The DVD in the US is a 'Infinifilm' release which has an encyclopedia's worth of extra content regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis. I didn't bother but had I been trapped on a deserted island with nothing better to do I am sure it would have been incredibly interesting. ...a deserted island with a DVD player and generator of course. Ocean11 0
13 Days may be entertaining, but history it ain't.
damian 0
I wouldn't say it is a fav, but i really liked 8mm. For the intensity, although the topic is disturbing. I also liked Vampires Kiss and Bad Boy Bubby. Plus Wild at Heart (I think I like Nicholas Cage films). I don't have a fav. I only see about two new films per year. I lie, I just remembered my all time favorite... The Sleuth. I very old movie with Sir Lawence O. plus a well known English actor who is really good at swearing... Cain, Michael I think. snowboard_freak 0
8mm is a very very good flick. Full on. Love it. Cage is good in it. db - i just finished watching "Queen of the Damned". Lots of vampires in that!!
amandanism 0
8mm was very disturbing, but very well done. it got a PG rating here. which disgusted me a bit. if u havnt seen memento yet, i highly suggest it. its the sort of movie u can watch over and over and keep finding new bits.
