I was just looking at some software and noticed that "Academic Packs" are often so much cheaper. But I was wondering what stops anyone just buying that version from amazon or somewhere and installing it on their computer?

What is the reasoning for that policy?

There is one guy from where I study who has a particular smell. He is Indian origin and always eating a lot of spicy foods and often there is smell of the food.

Rainy season is now officially over here in Niigata.

Some of the resorts here only have old equipment, but I know a few were stocked with "new models". I was lucky some kind soul gave me some equipment.

I was speaking with someone who works at a ski resort in my area the other day and they said that less than 20% of people who are at the resort pay the full price for a ticket. Most are using discount tickets they get from convenience stores, or newspapers or from their keitai. He also said that that number was well over 50% just 10 years ago. I found it quite interesting!

Maiko in this area. This was my first season and I really did enjoy it even if I only went a few times. I am looking forward to next season.

Right now, almost everywhere is new to me! I like it, it's all an adventure.

I am thinking of buying skis now or soon (hopefully cheap because the end of the season) and now looking around. I am still very much a beginner but am hoping to quickly improve and hearing conflicting things about the size of skis I should have. I'm 189cm tall (and about 89kg if that is important). Any words of wisdom from the experts here? Thank you!

I am a student now and I want to enjoy my free time. But I don't have much money. But I need money to do many things (not all of course). I am considering getting some kind of job, but don't really want to as then I will have less time also. Did you work when you were at college?
