Interesting area. Down town they don't seem to get that much snow compared to Yuzawa, but the snow on the resorts Kawaba etc is often really good. Like it.

Those new Mos burgers are nice - the ones with the hole (weak Mister Donut link!?!) and wasabi in the hole.

I think for most people the season finished 2 months ago. But it is pretty extreme. Only 5 days ago people were using heaters!

I thought they had made it 1000 yen for any expressway outside of Tokyo. Still 13000 > 2500 not bad.

Certainly not everyone's idea of a place to live, but defitely one to experience.
