I have read the reviews on here but thought I would ask the membership too. I will be in Gifu in February for a month or so and hoping to get at least a few days skiing in. I see there are a bunch of resort together like Dynaland, Takasu etc and wondering what anyone here thought of them. Cheers!

I don't get it. I have seen two episodes and they were almost exactly the same. Is it the same characters and jokes in each episode?

Just out of interest, have there ever been big earthquakes in any ski resort areas of Japan that have caused damage? I'm really interested in earthquakes - though of course do not like them and don't want to experience one - just wondering with Japan being so prone to them..

Never tried vegemite but I was repulsed by Marmite when I smelt it - didn't get much closer to my mouth than that!

I have had a similar experience to you Journey Man, though again it is the only time I have felt like that about transport here which is usually really good and seemingly well linked up (well, apart from some local trains that are only every few hours but I can understand that!)

I have never seen any cameras near where I live actually. Have seen some on the expressway but I thought they were traffic control. What do the speed camers look like here?

I started with normal skis (friends). There was no snowboards around at that time. Soon I took to telemark and thats what I do most of the time now.

I have never been to Japan, but am looking forward to the day when I do go.
