  2. Definitely post up your experience tripitaka. Like I said, we just bought our tix, yet the agency told us nothing of this. I don't mind doing it, as long as it's just a fingerprint, and not an anal probe, then It is fine. Now, if the were making all foreigners have a shiatzu massage, now THATS how you'd attract more visitors =)
  3. Fingerprinting from the user perspective should only be done once. Once your details are in the database, it's a quick lookup upon passport inspection time. There has been NOTHING said from travel agents here in Australia, and that annoys me. if they see you are coming to japan, they should contact us. What happens if you don't want your details taken?, or are alergic to ink (ok, that's a bit extreme). Anyhow, travellers need to be given ample warning.
  4. Atually, thats a very good point. Has anyone done a study? As everyone says, When you first hop on a board, just what determines balance & co-ordination? Everyone says try, and WHAM, it happens straight away (feeling natural on your chosen side). I wonder what part of the brain decides this?, it's got to be the same as creative versus intelligence... Oh, I am goofy...
  5. lol, thats what I suggested. tell em that the boats are harboring George Bush advocates =)
  6. Good point Subzero. Also, the amount of water needed to cool reactors is another problem.. One reason why Australia sucks with this, is because we have massive amounts of uranium that we can minbe, hence add to the economy. I think it's about time that mother nature took over....
  7. I built a website at work that deals with all of Western Australian government environmental initiatives: http://www.actnow.wa.gov.au/ It is a really good start, but lacks user interaction (being a government agency, it's not policy to have user feedback & discussions. Oh, did you know that Japan came up with the worlds first oxygen cleaning front loader?, very cool. Now, if it could only use this on green power, it would be perfect... Hey SJF, i am following link guidelines, these are not self promo, they are for the environemnt... Just making sure I don't get in trouble.
  8. Hiya mdmn, When will you be in Hakuba? I arrive up there early Feb mate. I am in same boat, never been to JP. I bought all my gear already & am takign it with me. I figured it's fairly cheap. You may be able to get some bargains from the US @ the moment because of their wavering economy, or, i woiuld suggest hit some of the melkbourne shops who are gonna have chrissy/ex-season sales. Also, check ebay, there's been tonnes of stuff there. Having said that, I have noticed that many ppl on this website have bought boards really cheap from japan. Anyhow, welcome to
  9. At my wedding I said in my speech: Marriage isn't about spending your life with the one person you truly love, it's about finding the one person who will put up with your annoying habits for life. Will buy you a beer when I come in February "best Skier"... I know where you are coming from mate, sometimes, as you have found out, it's the "straw that broke the camels back".
  10. Mamabear is on the right path. If home users were given an affordable means by which to lower their own consumption, they would. Using photovoltaric cells to power your house is a proven, effective means by which home users can reduce carbon emmissions, and pump power back into the grid, to a point where you are actually earning money. The reasons why our government does not subsidise new technology, is because we are sitting on a wealth of natural resources, which, as we see now, can be sold for billions of dollars to rapidly developing countries like china. Lets's not forget, tha
  11. So cute! But cuter than on Soub's head?. hmmm. we must find out...
  12. hey SJF, can u PM me about the script that creates that "Who's online" box right. I wanna know if it is simple to link to & read using the thing I sent u, as I wanted to add it to it.. Cheers matey.
  13. I have photoshopped myself an instructors badge. I am taking on students now, and I only charge $1 per video click. Ok, video's do NOT make up for the real deal... But it gives you a heads up before you get on the slopes with someone who knows what they are doing =) If i had the cash, I would definitely get some help.. I need it...
  14. They invite Japanese fisherman over to bludgeon them with harpoons and nunchuckas I think.
  15. Back on track. I just added a news article to my site: Quote: Western Australia’s world-renowned Monkey Mia dolphins have a new addition - a dolphin calf born in the World Heritage-listed Shark Bay area on Tuesday. So cute...
  16. Geez Daver, Can't believe you spent more than 5 minutes replying to this qestion. LMAO.. Without lasers!
  17. If the Australian Government protects whaling vessels in our oceans, I will leave this country. I Mimgaloo is killed, then I hope the world wakes up and takes action. also, I'm sorry, but if shame is a stronger motive than empathy for reasons to stop whaling, then it really is time to drop your pride, grow a heart, and join the 1% of the rest of the world who actually care. Humans are meant to co-exist with creatures on this planet, but greed and pride will be it's downfall. I'm moving to a parralell universe. In that world, whales will have torpedo launchers, and dolphines will
  18. I paid $55 in NSW.. I don't think it would be that hard to do. I like Kumapix's idea =)
  19. "I can't believe it's not snow" after: man, they are all gold suggestions, especially "Snew" Hey Ewok 2, what is" setsu-na-ing" ?

Australia has some great teas on offer as well. I know Japanese love Green tea, but perhaps you could offer them something very unique, like mango or something nice (you know from those boutique design tea shops). Also, perhaps 2 small teacups (japanese style) for both of them to enjoy. Oh, and a bottle of Sake, in case they think the tea sucked =0
