I know 2 families who come over from Hong Kong and Australia and they stay for 6 days and 12 days respectively. I suppose Hong Kong is closer and so a shorter visit becomes do-able.

I went snowboarding this week to Marunuma Kogen in Gunma. It was really good we had an enjoyable but long day. It was noticeable that maybe 75% or more of people were on snowboards. I heard it is a popular snowboarding resort and that in other places skiing seems to be gaining more popularity again in Japan. What has been your experience this season so far?

That was interesting to read thank you for sharing your experiences. I have never been to Tohoku myself but by all accounts it is a very attractive area.
