  1. Nice thread this one. I reckon you guys should have a look at this: http://casr.adelaide.edu.au/headband.html Take a look at some of the design development pics... I'd wear 'em! Also, my 2c... Bike riding on footpaths - helmet not needed (but would be good) Bike riding around cars - helmet While driving - hey, I'll wear the caps from above Skiing/boarding - I don't wear one yet, but I'll buy one this season...
  2. My favourite piece of trivia: Sloths are not only amazingly lazy, they are also very stupid. There's a particular kind of tree climbing sloth that, when it's climbing trees, often mistakes its own arm for a branch and falls out.

  4. I've got my 100 yen on a conservative prediction of 1-0 Japan. Do you know what time the England game is on at? I'm actually a holland fan (well, Holland, Sweden, England, in that order)...
  5. Hey man, we eat pancakes, it's just that we have the "pancake parlour" instead of some crazy acronym like IHOP Also, any pancake that uses self raising flour has really just missed the point... it's all about the thin pancakes with vanilla ice-cream, a small amount of maple syrup, and lotsa chunks of strawberries in there
  6. Hah, it also woke me up... (I saw Kyuso again sunrise, it was a late night for me too). First time I'd felt an earthquake, thankfully a not-too-violent one.
  7. Heheh... I'm staying with my uncle at the moment. 2 kids and a dog. Each morning I have this weird dream that as soon as the kids let the dog in, it bounds over and starts chewing my feet and licking my ears.... wait, that might not be a dream... stupid little inu, da-me
  8. Movies with cool soundtrack scores: Gladiator Braveheart Titanic Shawshank Last of the Mohicans Lord of the Rings (I'm not such a fan, but others like it quite a bit) And the Garden State soundtrack is awesome. Donnie Darko soundtrack is good too.
  9. Hey, sounds good. I think I'll at least get to the first one. I'm pretty new to Tokyo though... where will I find "Live Takanoya"?
  10. Jack Handy definitely belongs here. "It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man." "One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late." http://www.cco.net/~jpete/deepthou.htm
  11. I'm looking for work now... engineering stuff. Looking forward to it at the moment... might be a lot of hours though, we'll see.
  12. That's a yes to Beck. Also, Tori Amos. Also, Dave Matthews Band.
  13. Tokyo ni sundeimasu. Anyone on here on the odakyu line?
  14. I'm with you, sexy one, I had a great time in Hakuba a week ago, but it woulda been better to meet up with someone... So when's your next trip then? I'm considering another trip in the next 2 weeks or so... care to convince me when to go?
  15. Post rock is kinda... well... harder than I thought to classify. The best thing I can do, is recommend you just go and buy this cd. http://tinyurl.com/6hn7w It's really weird stuff... very mellow, and in my opinion damn good.

  19. Oh man... I should read -> think -> reply... in that order. Anyways, if you'd like to bring forward your trip by, say, a month, then I can meet up with ya!
  20. Hey hey, I'll be there! I'm in Happo from Jan 24 - 26, and I'd also be keen to meet up some time... when's this party happening?
  21. I was the 42nd skier to answer this poll. The answer to life, the universe and everything is 42
  22. How about during the week? I've just booked monday to wednesday at Happo. Let me know if anyone (sexy is not mandatory, but would be a bonus of course) wants to meet up at any stage, as I'd be keen to do so. ------> this one's for Yamakashi What I want is what I've not got But what I need, is all around me.
  23. Oh yeah... I just booked 2 nights / 3 days at happo. I'll be there this monday, tuesday, wednesday, so if anyone's also there and wants to meet up, just send me a message and I'll give you my number. And thanks for your help, tsonda and fattwins.

  25. Hehe... sorry I missed this thread and started another about Nagano. I'm trying to organise myself into a trip from the 24th to the 27th in Nagano somewhere. I'm open to suggestions about where I should go, and I'd also be keen to meet anyone from here... especially 'I'm Sexy', as it's been established she's all woman... oh, and 'Torque' is lookin pretty good there as well...
