  2. I think they are FL5/F11 I'm not sure. Bought them in Australia 00/01 season. I dig the concept, just uncomfortable for me. Can't seem to get the right settings especially with the new boots. Maybe I'm just retarded
  3. Yeh I know- not again you say..! Anyway here goes. Salomon bindings or Ride bindings, does any one have advice, recommendations (abuse)? I have Salomon boots which I got and are damn comfy but they don't exactly fit my Flow bindings (which I am not to keen on anyway.. ) I saw 03/04 Ride bindings today cheap but not familiar with. Are they good/reliable? Cheers in advance!

  9. I find January/February to be the best time. Lots of fresh powder about. Most of the resorts (Sapporo-Rusuto-Kiroro-Niseko)close in April/May depending on the snow. March is OK though still plenty of snow about!!

  12. It has it's good and bad points. Constantly digging the car out & going to work can be a pain. But hey.. It bets the shit out of driving 6 hrs to Perisher (Aust) for shit conditions.
  13. A small joint, Niyamakogen. Nothing to write home about but it's close & cheap. A little dodgy not so busy during the week. Nanae is bigger top2bottom is about a 4km run.

  15. Avoid the halogen heaters unless you want fat electricity bills. Plus you basically have to sit on the thing to keep warm. We use a kero one, heats the room fast- although a little smelly.

  18. Must be a bunch of tourists around at the moment. They were all wearing their puffy winter jackets. I was wearing just a T-shirt. Maybe I have become conditioned to the cooler weather? Made me feel cold!

  20. My closest mountain is 15min away by car. Another is about 30min. it's not to bad. Rusutu & Niseko about 4 hrs by car(weather depending).
  21. Just be prepared for more than 1 trip. A friend had the same thing happen- I think he went back a few (to many) times. They seem to drag the job out!
