  1. In Sapporo it was crusty this weekend. Since then it has snowed at night dusting and been warm during the day. not sure of actual conditions.

  6. Lived their back in the 90's. Brings back a lot of old memories. Use to be able to sit on my balcony and see the Wendelstein. Glad to hear you had a good time on some hills that I considered local.
  7. Ski Bum has a good trip it sound like. Niseko, Kiroro, Tiene, Furano, Tomamu. There are a bunch of little areas around that are worth a visit. Niseko Moiwa and Chisenupuri if its been snowing is good. I may be interested in hooking up with you guys from down south for a week or so. Have wheels so may be able to help with some of the transport or logistics.

  13. Do the resorts need to be responsible for what goes on off piste. I know of many resorts that have signs up "leaving resort property ski at you own risk". At that point it should be up to me if I want to ski their or not.
  14. Was talking to a Niseko local the other day about an incident. He had told me an American working in Tokyo recently ducked a rope into Mizuno no sawa. Anyway a patroller caught the person. Some words were exchanged then the person who ducked the rope hit the patroller several times. The guy is now in jail. Can anyone verify any of this
  15. Was over at Moiwa on Sunday. It was relatively quiet lots of race camps but not much else. Heading down Shirakaba we had the slope to our selves. It was great.
  16. Have been in Niseko the last two days. It doesn't seem too crowded. The slopes in Hirafu was pretty empty on Friday. Today in Anapuri and Higashiyama was not bad either. The lift out of the Green Hotel was closed go figure. Have one more day will most likely go to Moiwa. Everyone out there stay safe and enjoy
  17. Will be there tomorrow. Stuck in Haneada at the moment, last flight out. Cant wait to get home and see the wife and kids. Then its on the road nice an early in the AM. Three days of fun before heading back to Sapporo.
