  1. hmm, just a silly .wav file. works here.
  2. SPud btw, your avatar is a bit dark side where i sit..
  3. I don't even pretend to have any surfing-talent whatsoever. just love the glide of a big single fin board. the energy it takes to turn it and the occasional nose ride. I will never get to surf the big stuff, and it is all right. Watched the movie Sprout the other day, what a lovely movie. my favorite surf movie would be "Longer, a look at Joel Tudor" I even think hard charging shortboarders would like it.
  4. Not the boards for you guys, but please take a minute to enjoy some beautiful boards anyway http://www.cooperfishsurfboards.com/roundlabels.html
  5. Well, if you watched it up side down you might have been missing some details
  6. The dialogue is just so far out in that movie. Billy kidnap that girl while he's got to go to the toilet really bad. after he relieves himself, he apologize for pulling her hair... priceless
  7. You want to watch something different than all that mainstream Hollywood junk? Find a movie called Buffalo 66! Vincent Gallo plays the character Billy Brown. Billy Brown just got out of jail and he need to go home to his parents and show off his wife and talk about his government job that has kept him from visiting them for 5(?) years. The movie is very well written, the dialogue is funny and tragic at the same time The filming is surreal and exciting (sorry no explosions) Vincent Gallo and the movie reminds me of Tarantino, whit out Hollywood. I have stopped posti
  8. Slightly off topic, but: Anyone here with an "Un-updatable windows"? (the kind that cannot pass windows genuine advantage check) i have a better solution than getting that hacked LegitCheckControl.dll go to http://www.shavlik.com/pDownloadForm4.aspx?productid=74 and get free trial on their update application. (i got one year for free) works great. It even updates computers over local networks.
  9. http://www.dsri.dk/~hsv/Noter/solsys99.html sorry didn't Google properly before I was reading a danish newspaper and found an interesting article, guess i should have done the searching before myself. My only point in posting his name and this article was to show that there may me other factors to the warming. I have said it before and i would like to do it again: I think it is irresponsible to ignore the possibility that co2 might be a factor in the warming of earth. Enough emission from me tonight
  10. I think we need a picture of a person who was having fun at other peoples expense
  11. Maan, you are certainly carrying a big cross on your shoulders, jesus f. christ! what are you going to do? stop breathing. that would reduce the co2 emission, no wait, how about the micro organisms that break down your dead corpse, they produce CO2 also, what are you going to do now??? Spud take a deep breath and relax. i will not open the whole global warming discussion again, but i will tell you this: The whole global warming discussion is loaded with non-facts being presented as the opposite. So everyone is crying about the glaciers melting, yeah sure they are melting, we are
  12. I longboard and i snowboard. My wife and i just returned from Tanegashima yesterday. Tanegashima is littered with nice breaks, beautiful scenery and nice clear water. I have surfed Shizuoka's crowded beachbreaks for 7 years now, and we occasionally get nice waves here, but the water is not nice, and the beaches are full of garbage, concrete and aggressive surfers. Nothing beats a good consistent reefbreak, especially when you try to reach the nose on your longboard. I was reminded of that this weekend My wife and i have been thinking of leaving Honshu, overtime and busy life for
  13. I know this sounds silly, but smoking some good weed in a nice remote area in the mountains make me smile (i still remember what it was like) Surreal art. making my wife laugh learning and understanding (that "Ahh i see" feeling) Agree with the "travelling alone" thing. love the thrill of being free. i also get that feeling when the car is packed with snow gear, beers and sandwiches. With a full tank of gas and my mapple. a few man bills in the wallet and my wife parked in front of the tv showing CSI. Lately i have been smiling after leaving the hospital and the doc tells m
  14. Quote: Originally posted by soubriquet: However, I'd be quite happy with anything made in Japan, or Japanese branded. The above quote should go in the "you've been in japan too long" tread.. Thanks for the clarification on tires Tsonda and Sou btw
  15. I went for the cheap Falken tyre/tire (someone please explain the 2 diff spellings!!) for traction they were fine, but! i had one blowout and one puncture. not sure exactly why my left rear decided to blow on me coming down the mountain, but it was very scary. i need new ones this year, i think i will go cheap again.
  16. nevertheless, a great race. one of the very very few races i have enjoyed while "he" won. watched it live via tvants on my pc. speaking of internet tv, i am checking some new stuff from www.sopcast.com
  17. pandora..? PANDORA! The answer to all my prayers!!! thanks a lot I've been trawling this tread for months to find some interesting music, with little luck
  18. Spud (especially) and others: try some refreshing Rob Zombie! It is a mix between punk and Billy idol. give their website a quick visit http://www.robzombie.com/
  19. Watched "Sweet and lowdown" a while ago. An excellent movie with Sean Penn as the "second best jazz guitarist in the world" Woody Allan uses some of the same techniques as in the above mentioned Zelig. He narrates the story, to make you believe it is a real character he is making a movie about. The difference between Zelig (which i also like very much) and Sweet and lowdown is that i found myself involved on more levels. (English is difficult)
