Hi Sunrise! Yep i won and i am very excited about that, i just dont know when i will be ready for snow again. That trip will be perfect for my wife and i. Quality time and all. I REALLY want to try some skiing, looks like a lot of fun, i even had a dream about skiing last night (i have snowdreams all the time) But i will probably not buy gear this season, my economy is not doing so well after this incident. 2004 is a year i want to forget i only have my right hand to type with, and i'm lefthanded, so here's the short version: i was alone on a not yet opend slope, a road is crossing that, and in thick fog i did not see a 1 meter vertical drop. Tip of board hit the road, shoulder and (helmet covered) head took the impact, and i twisted my angle. Had to crawl 500 meter to patrol. Gave them a slightly different story than the above one. I had done the same run 5-6 times earlier that day, so i should have known better...... drove my AT car home, had x-rays at the hospital the same evening

I have considered trying skis for some time now. I have snowboarded for 5 seasons now, maybe it is time give the skis a try, What do you think about that? i am not a very good snowboarder, and will probably not be a very good skier either, what kind of gear should i get, i don't want low qual or beginner only stuff, but i don't want to spend a fortune, what about used gear? anyone got some for sale? i'm 181 cm, 75 kg thanks Thunderp
