  1. It's about 20 minutes from Muikamachi IC (turn left onto Route 17), so from Yuzawa it'll be about 45 minutes I'd guess.
  2. They look good. I'll you what I want on my main ipod - a "play queue" so you can queue songs up to be played.
  3. Quote: I just find it kind of funny that people living in a place like that can complain about the huge amount of snow that they get every year. Even if they just went through a huge storm. They don't normally complain about it. They might just feel justified in not being too happy this year getting double the usual amount of snow because of the fact that they had a 6.8 earthquake shatter their lives and weaken their houses just a few months ago without the time to repair. Their weakened houses, having just about surviving that earthquake, are now starting to get crushed due to freak recor

  8. Perhaps you might care to read the post, Toque. TWICE the normal amount of snow in an area that has been recently wrecked by an earthquake - meaning houses that did survive (but weakened by) the earthquake are now being crushed by very abnormal amounts of snow for that particular part of Niigata. So they were hoping to go back to their homes and repair them in April but their house will most likely be destroyed by the time they can get to it.
  9. fair enough thunderpants. But all this not knowing and having to research things in order to trust them etc - is it worth the bother? I think not...I'm not gonna be bothered anyway.
  10. Not sure if you were being sarcastic there or not, but... How do we know that a site that we have never heard of before is a 'real' 'security site'?
  11. About the same down in Yuzawa too - check the Yuzawa now page and the photo from yesterday... probably more than that now.

  15. How are non-geeks like myself to know? That checking a browser check thing sure looks like it's doing a lot of stuff on my browser (therefore computer?). If I am a tech-head I might know about all this, but I'm not and I have no idea what it is or is not doing on my PC when I click on YES for that check to start..... So I'll stick to not doing these things.
  16. They sure do - they seem to work tirelessly 24hrs a day every day. Actual deliveries seem to be from 8am until 9pm or something like that.
  17. I had some problems after doing something like this one. I would not do it again. I'll stick with the offline security/virus programs I have.

  21. These 9 class kyodai jishin. Scare the hell out of me. A 6 scared the hell out of me just a while back, I just cannot comprehend a 9. Question: Can a class 9 happen in Japan? Are there special conditions or whatever required for such a massive thing to happen? Like the size of the fault or something....? Or could something that massive theoretically happen in Japan?
