  1. Is this only for foreigners? It happens me, too. It's always girl. I feel very bad and wonder why. Is she lesbian or am I doing something wrong? And why is it always girl?? If it is a guy, that's not so bad...
  2. I'm not a person giving money for a proper treatment. And I think we can show our gratitude to say thank you or write a letter to the doctor.(Ah, I should wirte a letter to him soon!) Of course I can understand family want to show their gratitude with money, we felt same but I thougt giving money is very rude to the doctor if he is sensible. So we just gave sweets to nurses and doctors. Giving money is careless decision, I think. But I can't blame those people because it's common here and I hope most doctors are not expecting it.
  3. Sahoro must be nice ski resort for you. But why don't you try this place? I think this is the closest ski resort for you and nobody visited there before, so give us review! http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=407

  6. I know the Japanese doctors in general practice are very fishy. But the surgeon of my father was a very nice and reliable guy. I learned many things from my dad's surgery. Anyway, I have a question. Have you ever heard patients give money to their surgery? I think it is pretty common in Japan. We wanted to express our gratitude and I asked my nurse friend what we should do. She said giving money to surgeon isn't neccesary and it is a kind of bribe. If he is a common-sense surgeon, he won't accept your money. So we didn't give any money to him, but if we didn't have decent advice,

  9. I'm sorry if I'm missing the point. I studied Christianity at college a little but I don't think I undestand Christianity like Christian. I'm reading books based on Buddhism now. One book said we should start thinking from negative like Buddha. He started from extreme negative. We should know that we have life on a dirty and chaotic world. Our life is just hard and tough all of the time... There are some people devote their life to other people, they are great. But just living on this dirty world is admirable... this is only small part of the book. I'm not finishing the book yet but Buddh

  18. I'm saying, Igirisu = UK !! Japanese people don't care England, Wales... like this. If you say 'I'm Welsh'. Japanese people say 'Ah, you are Igirisu-jin'. nori-chan, you can't ask about Katakana English here like Ocean said. Now I understand Scotland Yard and Prince of... Thanks
  19. Anyone help me, too? Why Prince or Princess of Wales? Why Scotland Yard?
  20. I didn't care about it before living in the UK. I think when Japanese people say Igirisu, it means UK. It's just like Amerika = US.
  21. 2 guys got disqualified tonight. That's too bad and too dangerous. They don't know the rule?? Sapp is disgusting. I think he is just stupid and not strong enough for K-1. I feel sorry for the audience in Osaka tonight. They wasted a lot of money. Only Filho is Karate guy now. He gave up K-1 for the Kyokushin Karate championship 4years ago, so I really hope he comes back to the champion!! He lost tonight, though... " title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" /> See, I'm still watching K-1 when I find old faces.
  22. Where is K-1 going?? It's not interesting any more. I switch to real Kyokushin Karate.
  23. Tufnell, you are living such a nice place! Sagae is a city of cherry, isn't it? I went to Zao before but it was too windy. The ski lift was stopped! It happens all the time there. I like the Zao ski resort but have some hesitation to go...
