  1. yeah, after reading the other comments... the best thing for boarders at noz is the trees- lots of good riding there.
  2. this is my first year there, so i can't compare with previous years, but there are definitely more skiiers than boarders. that skiers only run at the top sucks bc it means the boarder/skier side of yamabiko is always crowded and has shit snow by about 11. and the park at noz isnt well designed bc everything's arranged side by side and you either have to hike it up, or take a loooooong lift up and go down a boring run to get to it. so, i think even though noz is open to boarders, it wont become super popular with them bc it's still more skier friendly.
  3. the only chinese movie i've seen was "the red lantern". excellent film.
  4. first runs!! are the only way to go. gotta get there bright and early.
  5. yeah zwelgen- dont be tempted to go out this week-you must rest!! save it for the wkend.
  6. i do. yeah, i thought it was a little weird with your albeeno talk last night, zwelgy
  7. even congress has jumped on the freedom fries bandwagon
  8. TIME magazine had a great cover last week-- it was uncle sam with w's face and said "do you want this war?" you can see it here.
  9. and another good thing about krispy kremes is they taste great stale. my grandmother would cut old ones in half, butter it, and stick it in the toaster oven-- yummmmmmmmmmmmm
  10. when i was in high school, selling boxes of krispy kremes was a popular fundraiser. the day the boxes were delivered, you'd eat at least one doughnut between every class. i think i always ended up with a stomachache, but it was so nice
  11. uh-oh ray, we're tied at 23. i'm going to to beat you before the season is over!
  12. ask zwelgen about her. saw of pic of the two of them just after aiko won her medal at the mogul world cup.
  13. hmm, what about cake? good for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc.
  14. you can find some mixed ones- you just have to know where to look. fun with friends, but not so nice when the ojisans don't cover up.
  15. had a great time at nozawa on saturday. wasn't expecting much, but did some supersmooth groomers in the morning, got pow in the trees in the afternoon. it was snowing when i left- so mad i couldn't go on sunday.
  16. even better, my mom sent me the one that aired on american tv, so i got it all in english. freaky stuff. there was one 11 year old boy who was holding his hand and resting his head on his shoulder. said he and his sister slept in jacko's bedroom. and jacko said he only had 2 plastic surguries- on his nose so he could breathe. as if! so weird to watch the fans in berlin freaking out just to hug him. i didn't realize there were still people who loved him so much. what happened to him? back in his thriller days he was so cool.
  17. i thought my town had all the fame for apples. At the train station, here's a big ringo-no-machi sign. and the town mascot is an yukata-wearing apple. back in the US, my town is becoming famous for producing reality tv stars-- ruddie from the 1st survivor and now joe millionaire.
  18. exactly. what's the point of an atm if it isnt open 24-7? i've heard it's for security or something, but couldn't they just have it where you have to swipe your card to get in? and why does your own bank charge you to use their machines? so annoying!!!
  19. just got back from nozawa. it started snowing midday and hadn't stopped when i left. kinda a little wet though.
  20. i know it's disgusting processed food, but it still tastes good
  21. you all know the thumbs game? where you have to guess how many thumbs people raise? whenever i play with my friends, the loser has to do a dare- something gross like drinking the dregs of everyone's drink or eating a ciggy or something. i had to drink beer out of a slipper at a hotel. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
