I just read this about San Fransisco and the good chance of another big quake there whenever http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4906678.stm "The 20th Century was a period of anomalously low earthquake activity; and it was during this period that the population developed and all the infrastructure was put in." Some of those things in there they wrote. Just why, when they know that the place is prone to big quakes, do they redevelop there? Same with Tokyo and the like.

I have had tha opportunity ta ski in many different places around tha world n there is many places T-H-to-tha-izzat has not lost its chiznarm with the S-N-double-O-P. One ghetto thizzay comes ta mind is Kitzbuhel it S-T-to-tha-izzill has an Austrian chizzarm ta yet is internizzles. Almost all tha build'n there is built ta tha Austrian style. There is plenty of places ta eat, shizzay or party. In mah opinion most J resort towns is playa dumpy. They almost seem lost bizzay in 60?s sho nuff. In Hirafu I don?t think you can even find I a ski shop. Restaurants there is ok at best paper'd up. Roo

Recently I just don't seem to be able to stop buying books and reading. Hardly a bad habit to have I suppose, but I am really getting through books.... on average at least one a week. The TV is hardly on, but getting less sleep and not going out much. Really enjoying it though. How much do you read?

Takanohana is the stable master? I didn't know that. I thought they weren't known as Takanohana and Wakanohana once they retired?
