I'm at a Japanese friends parents house. I'm using my computer. It's not dark. They ask me if I want to put the light on. I say no thanks. They then tell me that I can put the light on if I want to. I tell them I don't want the light on as it is not dark and the light will only reflect on my screen - so I prefer the light to be off. They turn the light on. That sort of thing irritates me.

Sobering news.

How much is it actually supposed to cost?? I wonder what % of people pay?

I saw Love, Actually recently and - actually - I really enjoyed it, in a Hugh Grant/UK kinda mood way.

Our dog drank some vodka once. Not much, but enough for him to look and act more than a little bit tipsy. We were actually quite worried, but he seemed to enjoy it.

This morning was very chilly when I woke up.

50/50 about, like the area.

Another big problem is that most places simply look either dead or dead and very depressingly ugly.

My current fave is the Faithless best of "Forever Faithless". There's some real groovy tracks on there.

I liked the original Freddy one - they just got more and more silly after that. Wasn't there one that starred Wes Craven and the story was about them making a film about Freddy or something.

In my experience NY is much much busier than Christmas (when many people aren't even on holiday). Having said that it looks like this year Christmas is at a weekend...

I don't hate it, but I don't love it really. If I hated a job I don't think I could just continue with that. It's just too much a big part of life.
