  1. Yeh keep an eye on them all SC I got my Jones through Porters Tahoe and they took advanced orders (back order) in September and some sizes went pretty fast.
  2. OOOOOOHHHH Nice I like that 2011 Hovercraft! Would look good mounted on a wall when not in use Maybe I should get it in a split 160 myself and earn some turns in Japan 2012......hhmmmm
  3. Yeh Hovercraft does not come in a wide version and I do not know what the specs of the 160 will be, but even the 156 only gives away 2mm to the 168W Flagship (waist width...JFS 168W - 26.2cm and 156 HC is 26cm), the W I D E is just built in straight up for powder float. The big guys can still ride them. IMHO if you live on a mountain with access to plenty of powder days per annum is the reason you would want the Hovercraft. Otherwise the Flagship is plenty of POW board and more. The downsides of the Flagship: being a bit of a barge in trees and the like can be overcome by good technique (
  4. I declare my bias straight up... Flagship 168W If you want to ride all mountain with excellent powder performance the Flagship is great value for money. Come in your size (though 10-11 seasons board are all sold out I believe) so a JFS 168W is a excellent choice. However, if you want to get in tight powder stashes around trees and set out with a one track powder mind then the Hovercraft would be nice as well and easier to turn in tighter spaces.
  5. Yeh very nice Stu. You been getting amongst it plenty - thanks for sharing

  13. Footage here is devastating, the human toll for this will be very large and reverberate for years to come, having just been part of the recent (and continuing) results of natural disasters in Australia, I am again moved beyond what words could convey by the extent and effect of this situation now and in the future. Many of my Japanese hosts asked me about recent events in my home country and were genuinely saddened and extremely concerned by the events. I am humbled and saddened now to have to return it. I hope the best for you all over there.

  15. Damn that sux! The only people I saw jumping que were not Aussies, Chinese was my guess. Why we giving such a bad name to the place? I think I saw more Kiwis than Aussies last visit and even having been out nearly every night, I am yet to see ANY bad behaviour. For a small country (population wise) we sure do make an impact: Japan Canada London Bali Greek Isles Germany All these tourist destinations complain about too many Aussies
  16. It really isn't that hard to do...get stuck like this I mean. Glad he got out safe!
  17. USA has some u.s.centric peeople. I was asked "Did you drive here from Australia?", thinking it was a joke I said "Yes but the bridge is now underwater". "Really, how will you get home?" Canadian at a popular Native Canadian tourist destination told me (and was a little offended when I didn't believe people were that stupid) he has been asked numerous times where you can get seeds from to grow the Totem poles.
  18. Bit of irony there JA I don't care if someone does or does not wear a helmet, actually if I scratch the surface of that comment I guess I actually do, after the fact, where it might have helped mitigate injury and others are likely to be affected by it. That is something of an epiphany, I think I wear one out of a sense of responsibility for others rather than myself, weird?!?
