I'll be there tomorrow too. I know Mitch, is he going? If I see him I'll say hi! I think maybe we met once Sand, at Wild Bills when a few SJ folks were meeting up 3-4 seasons ago? that's right,no Mitch is up north for a bit, but his friend is a pretty good skier as well with a strong history of being a park rat... I'll be in a long red jacket and blue pants, ... -

Wise choice Beaverinho, Rusutsu's East Mt. was shut today. Winds looking to continue through tomorrow too You still in Hokkaido, Sand? Yeah, was looking at going to Rusutsu today, but ended up spending the morning at Hirafu.... Let me know if/when you plan to head to Rusutsu and we can meet up -

Run 12, on a deep day they used to leave it ungroomed, the areas around lift 4, and looking at the map now, they don't seem to have my favourite area (and lift) off to the lookers left of the Nishiyama Romance Lifts? At the end of a sunny day I would take Milkyway and just admire the fantastic views...

Than last year? Yes, definitely. But it also seems like less snow as well. Seems to be the season of Bluebird powder days. Powder......really? Yeah, it seems like a lot of the pow days I have had here this season have been bluebird (after mid Jan anyways), which makes a change from my previous seasons experiences. -

Glad you liked it Gunma Boarder! I love Oze Iwakura, was the first place I experienced waist deep light powder all on piste, and was the place I spent most of my first 3 winters in Japan. I have taken friends there for their first experience of riding in Japan and they were instant fans. When I was a regular there, no one except the odd foreigner hit the trees between runs.

About 11:20ish the Gondola and King Quad 2 opened, then at about 3 the Center 4 opened. Had a few runs down the groomers working on my technique 2 days ago. Only managed 22,500 vertical meters
