big-will 7
What do all you guys and gals do about nengajo (New Year cards). Send them or not? I just send out a few to my important Japanese friends.
Yuki's Passion 1
I have a hard enough time getting cards out to my family back home. I certainly dont do them for coworkers but maybe every other year or so do them for my friends. Id rather just buy them a beer and speak with my Japanese friends than send a card. A custom I dont get into... anybody else do them?
echineko 1
I send about 50 of them. It's hard work, iya desu.
Ocean11 0
That's 51 including the hot one that goes to Markie with the chuu-chuu lipstick kiss on the back. The one that the postman steals.
Markie 0
Yeah, right on Ocean, and you're winning the next lottery too, and U.N. the inspectors aren't going to find anything in Iraq and the global recession has just ended and...... Doesn't take much to set me off dreaming!

cheeseman 1
I am designing mine now. I am worried about which cheese to use as the image - don't want to offend certain cheesefans now.

slow 0
There are some only nengajo contact every new year for long time. It's OK, just pretend you forget about it!
scouser 4
Can anyone clear up the "before 15th Jan" rule to me. I heard that if you get a card from someone you 'forgot about' (or similar), you have until 15th Jan to send back a card to them. Anyone shed any light on this or correct me? slow 0
Big Shogatsu is untill Jan 7 (the day people eat Nanakusa gayu) and small shogatsu is untill 15 ( the day you have fire festival). Make sense?? Normally people don't write nengajo after 7th. It's too late, I think.
akibun 0
I got 10 more than I sent, so I must write more now It's pain.
