akibun 0
I saw it in Tokyo last weekend, it looks amazing!
enderzero 0
That sucker should be opening up here pretty soon. I saw it in action the other day. How popular is this thing gonna be?
scouser 4
VERY. Probably won't be able to get on it without a few hr wait until Christmas (2005).
enderzero 0
But Korakuen isn't exactly bustling with activity. Maybe if it was in Shibuya. I bet you can get on without too much wait on a weekday afternoon in the first month.
rach 1
If anyone gets a ride on this monster when its open do let us know about it. Looks worth a trip to Tokyo
aciiiiid 0
That coaster in Tokyo is open now - anyone been yet?

kintaro 0
Fuji Q Highland's got a good one...used to be Guiness book. The "Fuji Yama"
blinkin'ek 0
I'm hoping to check it out next month mid week. Hopefully the queues won't be too bad then. At least now the area is free entry (ie you don't have to pay just to get in).
enderzero 0
That's right! I'll have to go check it out here soon.
symbol 0
Check out this new one in the US http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1896.htm Looks similar kind of thing to Dodonpa, but better and faster.
enderzero 0
Well I finally went to LaQua and got to ride the "Thunder Dolphin" roller coaster! It is a pretty good one I must say, although a little short I am afraid. But the first drop was awesome! I went on Monday around 12:30. We went straight to the coaster but it wasn't open yet. We stuck around and when it opened around 1 we got on to like the third run. The whole time I was there the wait hovered around 90 mins. Actually last week I went to Fuji-Q as well. That place is awesome! I highly recommend you go on a weekday though. The FujiYama coaster is amazing! But the real show stealer was the Dodonpa. This thing goes from 0-179kph in 1.8 seconds!! That kind of acceleration is mind numbing. Waited 1.5 hours for a 50 second ride and it was well worth it.
yodel 0
Excellent isn't it! Dodonpa and Fujiyama are class rides. Did you have to wait for Fujiyama?
enderzero 0
Less than a half hour for Fujiyama. If I went back I would do it a few times with that short of a wait but I wasted too much time with stupid shit like the Gundam ride...lame.
Goemon 0
ender: Did you get the coffee mug and/or sticker photos from Fujiyama or Dondonpa? We got some good shots. That acceleration on Dondonpa was amazing; I couldn't even hear anything, just "WHOOOOOOOOOSH!!!". Fujiyama's first drop alone was well worth the wait; they really build the tension well too with that slow climb to the top. After 50 meters I was looking around thinking, "damn...we're getting up there!".
nagoid 4
Dodonpa really gives you a ride that first few seconds. Its just a pity the throughput isnt a bit quicker.
oblivion 5
Checked out the Tokyo one....excellent. Quite long queues though, only to be expected I suppose.
