Yes, I'm with Ocean, i never argue either.

;\)

Now on a serious note - generally if someone pisses me off, i'll let them know. Especially certain work mates that i don't like at all.

Friends - very rarely.

Significant other - every now and again. We aren't perfect!

I argue 10x more than I used to. I used to be a meek mild wee thing, but them something happened, dunno if it was getting a bit older or living in Japan or dating certian people mad.gif but I definately speak my mind a lot more and stick up for myself much more than I used to. I dont know if its a good or bad thing though!

people used to walk all over me like a doormat. but as zwelgen said, dating certain people for extended periods of time has managed to change that. also living with three other people in a confined space has taught me to speak what im thinking more often. ive realised you cant possibly be the oldest out of four girls in a room, and let them walk all over you.

In the States, I used to argue with people all the time, everyday. Used to speak my mind every chance I get.

Here for whatever reason, I find it`s easier to just try to get along with people. I think it is probably because my situation is more precarious.

Trying to quit..really, I am. I did quit honking my horn out of anger at other cars though. Wife said "we don't do that here!" I've been clean for a year now \:\) Hi, my name is Kintaro...I'm a honker.

In the British Highway Code it says quite specifically 'Thou shalt not use thy horn as a rebuke'. For many years I followed this commandment. But sometimes, a rebuke is called for, and if you don't use your horn, all that's left to you is ramming. So for the time being, I'm going to rebuke with my horn.

When I cycled long distances more frequently, I had some good arguments with car drivers, all of whom refused my invitation to step out of their cars, the better to discuss our issues.

Be careful Fattwins! Drivers do suck...I used to ride Mt. bike but got hit by an old guy driving a car....no gomens or anything. He stopped to see if I was alive, saw I was and sped off! I now take my car even to the convini...a 5 minute walk. confused.gif

Mikazooki - I got hit while on my bike..walking would leave me just as vulnerable but while in the protection of my car I'm at least an 'equal'.....I should have explained : I got hit near the conbini. The conbini is near a narrow street intersection w/ a flashing red light. So everyone is required to stop, look and when it's your turn....go. Well, when I got hit the car paid no attention to the red light and cruised on through and hit me. SO, my logic is that if another guy 'runs' the red I'm better off getting hit in the car than on a bike or walking.

Once in Swansea, a bunch of lads who'd just cut me off took my middle finger to be an invitation, and the four of them, all rather large, did get out... Luckily, I was fast on the bike and new the area well...

As for Kansai, I find aggressive defensive tactics work the best. If you wimp out, cars/trucks take advantage, but all they need is the knowledge that you're not backing down to remind them that in the event of an accident they'll be handing their beer and porn monery over to you for the next thirty years...
