guzzlers-baps 0
Any way to do that? It seems that I could change it a few times, then it was fixed and I can't change it now. Is there any software or anything I can do to make it multiregion?
indosnm 0
is it a mac? because you can only change them 5 times. I set mine to ALL straight off so that I never have to change it.
nagpants 1
I sure didn't have an option of ALL on mine..
linalmeemow 0
Install DVD Region Free. You can find it on Suprnova.org. It will fix your problems.

sanjo 2
When I got my PC I had to choose from the region number in the software (ie no disc in the machine). I could change that nu,ber up to 5 times.
linalmeemow 0
DVD Region Free is a piece of software that fools your PC into thinking it can play any DVD. Install it and it'll never ask you to change the region code again. You can either buy it, or you can download it for "free" from suprnova.org with a bittorrent client. Specific enough? big-will 7
Very, although a) I couldn't see it on the site you mentioned and I have no idea what a "bittorrent client" is. But never mind, if I need it I can "research". Cheers.

linalmeemow 0
Messing with the firmware is VERY DANGEROUS. Try DVD region free first.
Thunderpants 0
worked for me
indosnm 0
So have windows brought out a DVD reigon change limiter? My Fujitsu notebook was good for any disc i put in it. That was the only yet biggest shock when I changed over to mac.
Thunderpants 0
The limit is not set by Windows. Reinstalling does not reset the count. The count is registered in the firmware. Some drives are region free though. Some newer DVD discs will not play on region free drives. for so many years we have been terroized by the PAL/NTSC/SECAM terrorist fractions. ...and now the region thing Boarders against borders
mina2 6
A real simple solution is this: http://www.dvdidle.com/ja/dvd-region-free-lite.htm English info here: http://www.dvdidle.com/en/dvd-region-free-lite.htm Costs $24.95 and it works on all of my dvds - been using it for a few weeks now with PowerDVD and no complaints at all. I belive it works with all DVD drives except DVD RAM ones and a couple of other exceptions.
Dokumanju 0
i just use vlc media player - never had any problems with it playing us/japan dvds and my drive hasn't had any region changes registered either. just google it and u should find it easily.
sock_monkey 0
couldn't get dvd region free to work with my drive, i have a toshiba laptop with a matsushita super-multi-drive(dvd+-rw dvd+- dvd-ram dvd-rom).
scouser 4
At the bottom it says: NOTE: DVD-RAM, Matshita XX-8xxx, SW-9xxx series DVD drives, and Torisan DRD-Uxxx series DVD drives are not supported now, and there is no plan to support them. It works on mine though, definitely worth 3000 yen.

grungy-gonads 54
I wonder why it's like that with RAM. Trouble is that most new DVD players have DVD-RAM now.....
GoodEgg 0
That software really works, I downloaded it a while back and very happy. If only tv dvd players had something so simple to make it region free.
