spook 0
i went to the dvd store and the crazy kook working there pressed a film into my hands. don't ask, he said, just watch it. and he was right. a french thriller called "tell no one" if you can rent it or download it you won't regret it. it is good. and not a pretentious art house foreign film either. just a great movie, albeit one where you have to read subtitles

thursday 1
I went to see "Up in the **** Air" The only reason we went was 'cos it was free, in a premium theatre, free snacks etc, AND.... it had been nominated for an oscar. Hey! so many experts can't be wrong, right? Well, I found it to be a total girl's flick. A blouse of a story, and wooden characters. I should've known. Clooney was starring. Though having seen Men/Goats, I gave him leeway. But we sat through the pain, hoping for improvement, but were disappointed in the end, leaving with a feeling of :wakranai: WTF did we was 2 hours for?

thursday 1
No, Jaws 3 was in 3D. My name is "Michael Ciane" was an even later one. From a splinter franchise. That was also terrible.
Tubby Beaver 209
whats the one where Rob Schnieder tricks JAWS to bite an electric cable? That was the one I liked best as a kid.....probably REALLY bad!

HelperElfMissy 42
I took six boys to see "The Blind Side" yesterday. They liked it. I loved it. What a story. It is a nice story on it's own, but when you add "TRUE" to the sentence it makes a BIG difference to how this movie is experienced. The real life photo's of the people the story is about at the end gave me goosebumps.
nagoid 4
Saw Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace these last few days. Much prefered CR. The title song for QofS. That was just so incredibly bad.

panhead_pete 27
Saw "Into the wild" on the plane over. A somewhat bleak but inspiring movie based on someone trying to escape the savage beast that is modern life but died at the hands of the one true beast, nature. Dont watch this and want to go out for a fun night. Great art though.

Kraut_in_HongKong 0
Seen over the weekend: The Hurt Locker Very worthwhile watching if you are into that Iraq genre. A bit similar to "Generation Kill" (the TV series). Saw some trailers of "Alice in Wonderland". Actually planed to give it a miss. Wasn't aware it was a Tim Burton movie (really loved Beetlejuice). AiW is on my watch-2b list.
