It looks better now I'd go with the Marmot Shadow If the Arteryx had a better colour that would be my pick though. But can't have to wearing the same jacket. We've already got the same bindings. mattlucas 0 Posted September 29, 2005 Share Posted September 29, 2005 Not gortex is difficult There are so many fabrics out there now that are advertised to work like gortex. I'm not sure about them. They say they are waterproof/breathable. But can you trust what the company says?? Gortex isn't all it's cracked to be as well It eventually leaks as well And only works well if the pores are clean and the water beads. Once the face fabric loses it's waterproofness it's pretty much just a rain jacket Link to post Share on other sites
