You can see Fuji-san between the huge Yatsugatake and Southern Alps ranges, with a great curved valley in between, and then the Central and Northern Alps in the opposite direction. I spent a good ten minutes taking it in before my first ever run (well, first ever shimmy might be a more accurate description). It's a shame that the view is the only decent thing about the place...
