cheeseman 1
I had some cheese on toast this morning. It was very delicious, and nutritional too I do believe.

amandanism 0
sweet thai chili sauce is very underrated. its so versatile and tastes good on so many things.
damian 0
sweet chgilli sauce was my staple condiment for 4 years of university. I can no longer consume it. Beware.

Beware. i may very well be headed that way. cafeteria food is well rank and i get it 3 meals a day 7 days a week, so i drown everything in chilli sauce to make it taste slightly more edible. i think cafeteria food is going to put me off thousand island dressing for life. they use it in *everything*
IceEiji 0
My favorite breakfast is rice and miso soup - I have it almost all days.
mikazooki 0
whilst cheese may have some beneficial characteristics, it would be difficult indeed to overvalue the importance of vegemite. im glad it has already been raised in discussion. not only should one always have a jar of vegemite, a spare is also to be considered most essential. can u believe the cruel, thoughtless, overpaid and undertalented stock filler in meidya (international food stuff store) let the vegemite shelf run dry!!??!! should be sacked IMO. gardamit!! i had to have eggs for breakfast today. got nothinhg against eggs. but we should never foresake the gift laid upon earth by heavenly creators. vegemite never gets boring. this can be said of very few things. i challenge anyone to suggest a more valuable edible product. cheese may have more varieties, but vegemite asserts its superiority thru lack of variety. there is but one vegemite. and that is all that is necessary. I was the same, sweet chili sauce overload but had a break for about a year and rediscovered it in my fridge the other day (yes after a year - I know Im gross but thats only a small part of what I eat past its expiry date). Go on, try it again db, after a hiatus its good, real good.
Ocean11 0
Expiry dates are for the gullible eh zwelgen? Couldn't agree more. 18th century mustard anyone?
snowboard_freak 0
Honey is the only food that will never go bad. Good drunken knowledge!
enderzero 0
Honey and twinkies. Have you noticed food seems to expire (officially) much sooner in Japan. Good thing they don't sell anything bigger than a pint of milk because it goes bad in 4 days.
cal 6
I had some completely tasteless Japanese corn flakes this morning. They were like cardboard.]
rajeem 0
Curry is good for any time of day.
damian 0
hi rajeem. I am assuming you are born of subcontinent parentage? If so, what is your take on japanese curry? My old man grew up in south africa and has a love for curry from there. he passed this love onto me. I must say I rate Indian food as some of the best (at least the commercial Indian food that I have had).
Ocean11 0
First time I came to Japan was on Air India and it took a long time and we had curry 3 times a day, and rajeem is definitely right.
rajeem 0
I like Japanese curry, but it is a completely different meal in my mind. It's difficult for me to think of them as the same. I am from India, so maybe I am biased, but I do love food from my country. I miss it when I am here, but there are some good restaurants in the big cities here that I frequent quite a lot. Ocean11 0
Sesame paste or that whipped fat with sesame in it? Sesame paste and honey is very tasty and nutritious. Did you know sesame has far more calcium than milk products or fish?
veronica 2
All this talk is making me think of food too much - and I am trying to diet right now.
smellyfeet 0
I had marmalade on toast this morning. It smelt good (better than my feet anyway) as well as tasting good.
rajeem 0
BTW, anyone know a good (authentic) Indian restaurant in Nagano city?
enderzero 0
I don't know how "authentic" it is but that Taj Mahal place on the way up to Zenkoji is damn tasty.
Ocean11 0
Sorry that I can't quite meet your specs rajeem, but Namasute in Suwa is authentic and good (but not in Nagano city).
