Looks familiar but cant place a name to it. Will put on my thinking cap

Tsugaike Kogen

That it is. Named after (and co-developed by the owners of) Hunter Mountain ski area in New York, USA.   Over to you, Muikabochi.

Riverwell Ikawa

Shizuoka City, Shizuoka

Indeed it is. Shizuoka's "other" ski resort. (After Snow Town Yeti.)

Hints:

--The 1964 film "Woman of the Dunes" ("砂の女") was filmed on the sand dunes of Hamaoka, Shizuoka. The upper part of the photo is the bird trap the protagonist attempted to make, which turned out to be more useful as a kind of well, of which the goal of perfecting became one of the mental traps for the protagonist.

--The tiny red/pink shrimp known as sakuraebi are only fished in Japan from Suruga Bay, Shizuoka.

--The name of the ski area could be rendered monolingually as "Riverwell Well River," or "川井井川." (Hence, "Department of Redundant Redundancy Department.")

--Mt. Fuji can be seen in the second terrain-mapped view, as well as from the ski area itself.

--Kenjiro Takayanagi of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, demonstrated the world's first all-electronic television receiver in 1925 at the Hamamatsu Industrial High School. He chose the katakana character "イ" for demonstration, being the first character in the "Iroha" poem. (And also, incidentally, the first syllable in "Ikawa" -- two hints in one!)

--The Oi River, which runs near Riverwell Ikawa ski area, is home to:

----Hatanagi Daiichi Dam, the tallest hollow-core concrete gravity dam in the world;

----Ikawa Dam, the first hollow-core concrete gravity dam to be constructed in Japan; and

----Horai Bridge, the longest wooden walking bridge in the world.

Over to you, Onehunga!
