big-will 7
Yes, you just got to block the "asahi super dry" image out of the head, hey Can't get that blinkin tv ad out.
RobBright 35
Yeah, its ok but prefer the asahi black or their english stout.

big-will 7
Someone gave me a case of 24 bottles of Kirin Classic over the weekend.
BagOfCrisps 24
Nice one big-will. I like that. There seems to be a lot of Asahi Super Dry here - even in supermarkets.
HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
I like Kirin Classic too. Always a good one to go back to.
RobBright 35
Yeah, another vote for Kirin classic. Had some on Sunday out in the park with the wife.
Mick Rich 78
Has anyone tried the new Asahi Black? Got a couple of cans in the fridge waiting.... Do you mean Asahi Black or the Asahi Super Dry Black? The Asahi black is like a Schwarzbier style... I can't quite figure out the Super Dry Black... maybe more like a Dunkel. Anyway, both of them are decent for macro brews. Something a little different at least. Have also just tried both of these and love this one...
pie-eater 207
Hmmm might have to give it a try. Always wary of 'black beers' though. Flashbacks of horrible stout flash back (as I suppose flashbacks often do!)
BagOfCrisps 24
Warm stale stout
tokabochi 9
What would be a good English translation of 'karakuchi'?
Tubby Beaver 209
spicy mouth I know what they mean, but we wouldn't really describe that feeling in our mouths....right? perhaps "bubbly"?
pie-eater 207
After consulting the internets and asking Facebooks, I now understand it means: - aftertaste - salty - dry - spicy - dry mouth To summarise, no-one knows.

SKI 15
It might well be just one of those concepts that us gaijin simply cannot understand.

yamaski 0
I got quite a few bottles of Shiga Kogen beer the other week, I really like that. Another good reason to visit SK!
pie-eater 207
That is a good one. The two nicest ji-biiru's I have had are that Shiga Kogen one and Hakkai-san, I reckon. No doubt there are countless others out there that are fab too.
SwingingSaru 1
I'm really not fussy when it comes to beer, I like most that you can get in Japan. Some good places to drink in Otaru.
