panhead_pete 27
Pie eater that is epic. Thanks! Will show someone at wk in the morning who called me the same thing today. Did the 20 floors down and up today. Trying for 24 tomorrow. My 44 yr old legs are feeling it

panhead_pete 27
Leg weary today - funny that. Restricting exercise to walking and core/upper body work out. This getting old sucks
Scallywag 0
Must be the getting rid of the mustache that did it!
greg 4
Been doing a lot of core, posterior chain strength, and fitness training.....lots of kettle bell swings, glut ham raises, reverse hypers etc and the dreaded prowler (prowler will get you fit and strong but feels like a near death experience!). joshnii 2
Tried mine on last night as well. Oh dear. Bit tight.
panhead_pete 27
Hey Gtrain what is a prowler?
Tubby Beaver 209
its sprints while pushing a weighted sled
greg 4
Hi Panhead, it is what Tubby described. It's a really good exercise. Generally sprints with at least half your body weight (more if you can) to begin with. 10 laps of 20 m, only takes 5 minutes but you'll be shattered. Good for strength, fitness, lactic acid endurance.
greg 4
20 floors up and down in snowboard boots panhead! that's impressive.
Pillar of the community 0
The most painless solution is to buy new stuff every year. I highly recommend it!
panhead_pete 27
Thanks Gtrain. Wonder if I can find that here in Brisbane.
greg 4
Panhead, you'll find prowlers are a staple at most powerlifting gyms which coincidently are good gyms for snowboarding as they have a strong focus on core and posterior chain strength. There are probably others but there is a PTC (performance training center) powerlifting gym in Brisbane. Give them a call.
beno 0
It really is depressing trying clothes on to find that they are nowhere near fitting. In just one year. That happened to me last year, I had put on about 7kg in a year and it was pretty shocking. Shouldn't be too bad this season.
LiquidX 0
Here's my Top Tip - ---- - don't eat as much in the year! Hope that helps.

panhead_pete 27
Sadly that gym is too far away. Just did 24 floors down and back and I'm rooted.
Go Native 70
Working outdoors all day doing plenty of physical labour instead of just sitting in an office has meant I've started toning up a bit. Not sure if I've lost weight as I never weigh myself but have gone up 2 notches on my belt since returning to Aus!
panhead_pete 27
Good on ya GN. This getting older really sucks, waking up leg weary most mornings now after a heap of stairs and the pushie. Sure hope it helps when doing some Slack/Back country trips late next week in Niseko etc.
