muikabochi 208
Been covered elsewhere but the dudes with flashing thingies waving you on and/or telling you to slow down around construction work. Got to be as many of them as the guys doing the construction work, perhaps even more.
muikabochi 208
Quote: I don't know if they still do, but banks in the big cities used to have an old bloke to tell you which of the cashpoints you could see in front of you was unoccupied. Nice one granddad! Just drop these dudes and reduce the bank charges I pay to withdraw my own money on a weekend please!!
RobBright 35
Haha, switch banks muika and join shinsei. join us. JOIN US. JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIN US!
muikabochi 208
I think there's only 2 banks in Muikamachi - Daishi and Hokuetsu. Hardly centre of the banking world!
Go Native 70
Lets face it Japan is practically a socialist state with the amount of people that are employed in completely and utterly useless positions. Better than having them just receiving the dole though I reckon. If they ever tried to make everything run efficiently here and got rid of all the people in useless roles just imagine how many would be unemployed and the social issues that would arise from that! griller 9
Definitely. Always fun to find more though!
RobBright 35
Have to say, the funniest thing that gets me, is the way it takes a minimum of 5 people to change a street light. One guy to climb up the ladder, another to hold the ladder, one guy to do something, and two guys to direct people around the ladder.
foreversnow 5
Been having a good chuckle - Everything seems to be well covered. I was lucky enough to experience the opening of the department store and welcomed by all the staff (little scary the first time). My favourite experience was when our plane landed and all the ground crew bowed. I still get a kick out of that!!
RobBright 35
Also, the playing of Auld Lang Syne when shops are closing.
