SKI 15
Was kinda expecting that. Now is the time they can try to get those numbers back up a bit!
best skier in hakuba 5
Really must keep the snow up there well. How high is it up top?

muikabochi 208
1845m I believe.
Tubby Beaver 209
snow-forecast has changed it to over 2000m. I was actually thinking that myself as when you look at the webcams and compare Naeba to Kagura its amazing the difference, is Naeba south facing?
muikabochi 208
It's 1845m. Naena is 1789m.
muikabochi 208
Naeba is kind of facing East. The main course at Kagura is facing north-ish, bit to the east.

RobBright 35
And my friends were laughing at me for going snowboarding in April! Roll on May... wonder how cheap the jr packages will be?
SKI 15
My guess is not cheaper.
muikabochi 208
Mitsumata now closed as a course - just open as a narrow "connecting course" to get to Kagura.
7-11 2
Friend was up there yesterday - said Mitsumata was very thin on the ground but still good cover up top.
best skier in hakuba 5
Thanks muika.
muikabochi 208
Check out Yuzawa Now 10-15cm of snow at Kagura!
SKI 15
That's a good surprise.
LiquidX 0
Was at kagura today. Not much to report really, more snow than I expected still really good cover up there. The fresh snow of Wednesday (?) had gone of course but it wasn't all that bad and a lot of fun. I planned to take some pics but my phone conked out on me.
muikabochi 208
Would have been fun just after that snow, if it weren't for the rain. Good to hear you still getting out.
toki 0
I also went at weekend. Still some good snow but I think it will be the last of my season.
Tubby Beaver 209
I just can't imagine snowboarding now....the weather is beautiful now down in Shonan and all I'm thinking about is the beach and BBQ's. I love this time of year, and this year its a lot less humid than normal
muikabochi 208
Me too Tubby. Well, not the beach part not into beaches at all. Feel a bit bad though that my last ski of the season was in Febraury at Zao. I need to put more of a second half of the season effort in next time round!

For me, any chance to get at the snow, beats the beach any day.
Go Native 70
I went on a ski mountaineering trip in India some years back and in New Delhi is was over 40 degrees but up in the mountains at around 4,000m it was still snowing. Crazy carrying around skis in Delhi though in that kind of heat!
muikabochi 208
Wow what a contrast. Must have been tough carrying them in that heat.
ILoveZao 8
Out of interest, is Kagura busy in this last month?
