klingon 10
let us know how blur is - sounds fun.
RobBright 35
It's a 3rd person - imagine GTA but in the wild west and you're halfway there.
cal 6
I've just started that game a few hours in. Impressed so far.
klingon 10
Does it consume thousands of hours and takes your life, Rob? I'm curious but not sure whether to inflict that on myself. Galaxy 2 mostly done now. Possibly the most value I have got out of a modern videogame.
RobBright 35
You can apparently complete the main game in 20 hours or so, but coop is great fun just pissing about online with mates.
grungy-gonads 54
Hmmmm, not really got into online.
pie-eater 207
Having no mates doesn't help either, gg hey?
grungy-gonads 54
Doesn't help, no.
RobBright 35
I'll be your friend. At a price.
klingon 10
Hmmmm. Might be tempted, only heard great things.
RobBright 35
I thought it was gonna be just a remake of GTA but Wild west style. SO much more than that.
big-will 7
Whats the more bit then?
RobBright 35
It's a bit more than what GTA isn't.
klingon 10
Ordered it. Should arrive Tuesday.
klingon 10
PS3. Out of interest, if there are PS3 and Xbox versions of the same, which one will you plump for Rob?
RobBright 35
Depends on the multi-player elements really Klingon. Am not much of a on-line person, too many pre-pubescent dicks screaming racial or homophobic insults and rage-quitters, so if a game has a big MP element, then ps3. But also depends on the cost. Sometimes, ps3 games can be 2000yen more expensive than the xbox version.
mina2 6
Got that last week and been playing it. Wow. The scale of the thing is just huge. Got the PS3 one.
RobBright 35
Cool! Have to posse up - I'll be Heath. Just seen the cost of xbox live is to go up as well by $10 a year on a year's sub, monthly to go up $15 a year, and still have to pay to play EA games online if bought 2nd hand. Ho-hum - could be switching over permanently to the ps3 now.
mina2 6
I'm still scratching the surface as you might say. Mind bogglingly lots of time to lose on this!
RobBright 35
It's great fun shooting animals. Or lasso'ing people and dragging them along. Or in fact just riding into the sunset.
klingon 10
How many hours do you need to "play" before you get to actually do much??
RobBright 35
Define "much"? i spent 12hrs hunting and killing animals/people before I even started doing anything in Armadillo although I recommend completing the Mcfarlend Range missions as then you can get the lasso. klingon 10
Hmmmm. Much as in like, enjoying/having fun. I have only spent a few hours but I seem to be in a never ending tutorial. Got to admit compared to Galaxy 2, I'm not really having much fun. So does it get better then?
RobBright 35
Yeah, it does, the initial few missions were a bit lame really compared to the game as a whole.
klingon 10
I'll give it some more time then. Can't say I'm having that much fun with it right now. Very pretty graphics, of course but, well, that's it.
