SJ, Are these stickers available for purchase from overseas? I'd be happy to pay for postage and the stickers to Oz. Pity I didn't know about them a month ago, I was in Furano 16 - 26 Jan! If you are planning a new set, or another print run, I'm interested.

That really depends on what you mean by "unbearable hot". We flew out of Tokyo last week when the temp was (late evening) around 7deg C. Flew into Brisbane at 7am and already 22deg, have had 35 or 6 a couple of days since, no real biggie, expected somewhere around that temp for the middle of summer. Was a bit of a shock to get out of the plane in our winter gear and have to find a change room, tho. My point is that "hot" is relative.

Have a wander around the Ginza area. In particular, look for the Sapporo Ginza Lion Beerhall on Chuo dori runs north(ish) from near the Shimbashi station. They do a great Lamb Ghengis Khan and have great atmosphere. We took a sumidagawa cruise from Asakusa to the Hama rikyu gardens, had a walk around there for a bit. Also went to see Kappabashi dori (kitchenware street) where the plastic food samples are made for restaurants. Sunday when we were there so all closed, but the samples were amazing. Cheapest may not enter into the argument ... it may depend on what is available at this stage. Try a site like google, then enter "flight tokyo sapporo" without the quotes and see what happens. Google is your friend almost every time!

What Ezo said ... There is no problem with getting the limo bus unless there are 4 of you and two of the tickets are for the next bus and the next two are for a bus an hour later! Happened to us a week ago. Easy to exchange the early tickets for another 2 on the later bus, just caused a bit of mirth.

All this talk about not much snow! JAYSUS, I skiied on a "reported" cover of just 12 cms a few years ago. I have a Navman and have installed the latest Aus maps. It is great so long as you realise that it doesn't rely on satellites to navigate, it uses the satellite to determine your location, that is all! What it does with the location info is determine a route, using the maps internalised to the machine, from current location to desired location. The you tube stuff is not an indication of skill at anything other than making a movie and shoving it at the net. JD, Did that very thing last Jan. We stayed at Il Cuore at Namba, a short walk to JR station Namba and a absolute hoot! We got a JR West rail pass for 4 days and went to Nara for a day, Himeji to see the castle and to Osaka-Jo (the castle at Osaka). Glad we did it in that order as the Osaka-jo was a great disappointment - just a museum, really! The outside looks impressive but the interior is nothing like authentic.
