  1. Nothing wrong with miniskirts, especially when worn by cute young Japanese ladies.
  2. If you have the norton 360, it also comes with a built in disk defrag, that is what I use, works very quickly.
  3. Shouldn't take that long I got the same size drive and usually only takes a few minutes, I think the last time I did it it took about 10-15 mins, having said that my drive was not fragmented. If your drive is badly fragmented then that could be the reason, but 4 hours does seem rather over the top. You can kill the process anytime, it shouldn't effect the drive as it is only moving files back into there correct position on the drive to make it easy for the computer to find them again, but if you don't need to use the computer for a while then just leave it be. It should tell you how it ha

No just tell them what you want the comp for and whether or not you want the max power or enough to do what you want and they will build it for you. No need to be a techy at all! Obviously we all have different needs for a computer, but one thing that many people don't bare in mind is that if you by an average powered machine with a reasonable sized drive etc, it will of course work fine and do everything that most want it too. But you need to t

  7. People write it like that I think just for fun, but 'hallo' comes from german, it is the casual form of guten tag, which of course means Hello.

  9. Yes why don't you take a trip to Tsukamo where they sell both e-machines and gateway computers. You can also buy all the parts to make your own computer and they will even customize a computer or build one for you if you wish. Their prices are much cheaper than other brand named computers but offer the same if not better specs for a lot less money. I have an e-machines desktop that I have had for 4 years now and still use it sometimes, never had a problem with it. My mother in law bought a Gateway comp about a year ago which was higher spec than just about anything else you could f
  10. Tonight I too am not using it here for the first time this summer. At my house in Nagano, I never use it at all in summer as I haven't got one in that house, it is never humid there. Usually from mid september onwards the humidity drops off. At last I can now sleep again without the aircon, yipee!
  11. Good for him, if he can still do it why not!
  12. Yeah I got an electric tooth brush been using them for years, they are great! One thing to be careful of though, especially here in Japan, they are a pain in the back side for suddenly stop selling a product or spare parts without notice. I bought a braun electric toothbrush ages ago, and was really happy with it, when I went to buy new brush heads they were no longer selling them, and was told that that model and the brush heads had been discontinued, so I had to buy a complete new brush and brush heads. They love to keep changing stock here, I think it's the only way the manufac

I think it is good as it's a good reminder when to stop for lunch, breaks, etc. Weekend the 6am wake up call sucks if you want to lay in, but where my house is located, as long as I have the tannoy switched off in my house weekends I can't here the announcements or anything any
  14. Wow this silly post I started is still going strong, wonder if it will ever make 100 pages of rubbish???? 39 pages until now and counting. lol
  15. I have that in my small village in Nagano where I got my second house! When I first moved there the alarm sounded at crack on 6am, I soon cured that problem, just simply switched of the intercom in my house, after that quite, can't here a thing. I just switch on sometimes during the day if there is an announcement, then straight back off again after. And I live only a 3 minute walk from the village office. Not sure if your house or area is the same? I think it is an early morning call for the farmers, although actually most are up before 6am anyway.
  16. Never mind the fish i got a much more accurate way of predicting the weather and again will be able to tell you all next month or by october. I predicted last year would be cold and snowy in the kanto area and it was not that any of you accepted that I was right. But never the less I will tell you all soon for anyone who would like to know!
  17. It got down to 15 here a couple of nights ago but most nights around 18 here and no humidity. Day time temps rarely go above 25oC and not humid. Its great here where I am spending my summer.

Actually I am married and have a child, and yes my wife is very understanding, not that matters! 50 K's only takes me a couple of hours to complete anyway and I usually do in the morning before work or weekends. I still eat the same as always which is a lot, but I have lost a few K's in the past couple of weeks, it's great fun and you will feel fit too! That followed by a few punishing hours in the gym tops it all off splendidly, no need for a diet then!
  22. Ok this is my thread after all so I may as well continue to contribute to it......
  23. For me it's Yebisu or the bottled ales that they sell in Karuizawa! I can't stand asahi beer it's like drinking knatts p+`*
  24. It is unbelievable what names some parents give their children! There should be a law that allows the courts to both fine and publicly humiliate the parents so that they can experience what their kids would go through when older, that would make parents think twice before giving their kids stupid names. Sorry but parents who give out totally bizarre and stupid names are completely irresponsible and should not be a parent. Just my rant for the evening!
