We went via Tashiro. The reason was actually because the Mitsumata Ropeway car park was full and we were basically moved on. I see on the Now reports that Sunday was the busiest of the season at Kagura!

Some Japanese people I know seem to label some skijo as being 'skiers mountains'. Names that often come up are Happo-one Zao Kusatsu I'm not quite sure why - they traditionally more popular with skiers than boarders, or is it a terrain thing or something? Don't shout, honestly I don't know!

I have 12 days off work in January and that will be a trip somewhere for sure.
