  1. You did the right thing. Its either a scam artist or a vender trying to get out of paying yahoo auctions for their services. Either way, that person sucks.
  2. Hecling is just about the only thing in this world that's free. Think of how rich you could be.
  3. With a commute like that, what are you.. . a hooker?
  4. Jesus! Maybe you should consider giving up snowsports for checkers. Only injury I've ever gotten was stretched ligament in my wrist from when my pole got snagged on a tree branch. I no longer use the pole straps.
  5. Actually Japan voted to adopt daylight savings time back in 1998. It passed. In 1998. BUT, the change is not to go into effect in 2008. Why? The reason given by METI. . . "the Japanese people would be confused and we need sufficient time to teach them about it." And have you seen any public service announcements from METI over the past 8 years "explaining" the ever so difficult to understand concept of changing your watch twice a year? Me neither. Akibun, You have TEPCO and Japan Steel (and of course the wonderful people of METI who took their money) to thank for
  6. I usually feel that way, not from having too much work, but from having too little focus or, ironically, having too much time.
  7. I worked at home for the past year and half. For me, not having a clear barrier between work and personal started driving me insane. After almost 2 months of commuting now, I'm still happy to have that 45 minutes of distance between work and home. Wish I didn't have to stand the entire time on the subway, and I'm sure I'll get sick of it soon enough, especially when the baby's born, but for now I gotta say, its far better than working at home. A 10-20 minute bike ride would probably be the ideal commute, though.
  8. 45 mins. Usually standing the entire way.

Man, you jsut gave me flashbacks to the Seinfeld men's carry-all episode. "Its not a beater. Its Japanese" and just to bring it back on topic. . . the answer to 'what's long, brown, and sticky'. . . a stick. and to bring it even more back on topic. . . who's run
  10. Mine phone was 1 yen. au. Works great even on the mountains I was on last year.
  11. Is that a pelican baby or are pelicans carnivores?
  12. Yeah. Don't think they allow computers in the delivery room.

  15. Suntory's new Premium Malts is a godsend. Expensive, but well worth the price. It could singelhandedly redeem the beer industry here.
  16. Uh oh, odile, looks like its starting to stick. . . Is it long and brown?
  17. Dose someone with photoshop wanna help me out? (err...and then teach me how to put an avatar up)
  18. My parents both really liked the name Doug. Problem is, our family name is Graves.
