Men not monkeys again! There was some thing on the news last night about a bunch of monkeys in a zoo all huddling together. About 40 of them all in a group trying to keep warm. Very funny that was, hope somewhere repeats it.

I just saw that the Yamagata Shink is stopped because of the snow - how about flights into Chitose up in Hokks... people getting delayed and stuff? Hardly something to complain about of course, snow.

But.... what a waste of snow, pretty as it might be...

As there are still only relatively few places open (and lots of them struggling) I was wondering how busy the slopes that are open are? Is Niseko busy right now or still fairly quiet? I suppose as Christmas and New Year approaches and more of the masses start to think about skiing/snowboarding it will only get busier.

Seems that snow is forecast all round for the weekend. Yipee. Lets hope it kicks the season into action proper. ( Yes, I know, MikePow... )

I'm a little confused with one thing right now, can anyone shed some light - is "Niseko Village" basically what Niseko Higashiyama used to be, or something else? Thanks

I'm sure I was there last time and they were open later. It will be tight though, getting there 20 minutes before closing ain't much good either is it?
