  1. Is that pattern of events something to worry about?
  2. Clocked in? Nah Never seen the attraction of or felt the need for "drugs", especially since I've seen a lot of shit that goes down. I'll stick with moderate quantities of booze.
  3. "The average basic salary of a Premiership footballer is £676,000. (The Independent)" Not bad hey. Of course the ridiculous amount a certain few are getting is distorting that. It would be interesting to know the average was if they disregarded the top 10%.
  4. I like the new Kate Bush album, been listening to that a bit the last few months. Especially the Rolf Harris bits
  5. From Guardian rumour mill today "Arsenal are planning to add Joey Barton to their number despite knowing full-well he's English" I've not been keeping track but how is Shaun Wright Philips doing at Chelsea - is he getting the games?
  6. Steering clear all together is the best bet. More and more people who think they are getting ecstacy are getting all sorts of shit that is nothing of the sort... believe me, we haul in a lot of the stuff (I work for the police in Manchester).
  7. The thing I hate about dentists the most is just how expensive they are. There seems to be no such thing as a "price list". They seem to charge what they want. In for a checkup, and clean the teeth? 5 minutes, that'll be 20 quid please. Then come back the next week for a difficult filling, takes 15 minutes, another 40 quid please. Thank you.
  8. I hadn't heard about that 0151, interesting. Hooky could often be seen at the Hacienda. As you said, often in Gay Traitor.
  9. The Hacienda certainly had it's good days and bad. Lots of bad days at the beginning. The place transformed when the dj/rave culture came in. When was it you went Ocean11?
  10. Hooky actually now owns the "Hacienda" brand/name....
  11. I'd be interested to hear and read about your adventures when you're back in Canada, never mind just in Japan.
  12. The Hacienda Classics, 3Cds put together by Hooky (from New Order) himself. Originally conceived, founded and financed in 1980 by Factory Records and New Order through a deal steered by Rob Gretton, the manager of the by then disbanded Joy Division, The Haçienda first opened its doors on May 21st 1982 sporting a Factory Records catalogue number of Fac 51, a pioneering interior designed by architect Ben Kelly and featured Bernard Manning as the opening night act. Not surprising then that all of these forces combined turning The Haçienda into where is widely recognised as the birthplac
  13. Sufjan Stevens Sure thats not good old Shaky... Shakin' Stevens?
  14. He said he was set up by "you know who". Perhaps a newspaper?
  15. What do they show at a cinema before a movie starts in Japan? In the UK, it is now an seemingly endless amount of ads and trailers. About 30 minutes of the damn things. At least when I was a kid the ads were funny local things very poorly made: "Get your carpets cleaned at Mr Smiths Carpets Cleaners, next door to this cinema. Tell them you saw this ad and get 20p off!" And anyone from the UK remember those funny little random support 15 minute features about absolutely anything they used to put on?
  16. They'll never have the magic they once had.
  17. And the benched "van Niselrooy to go" rumours have already started!
  18. It looked really bad. Good to hear that it might not be as horrific as first thought.
  19. We like it on top?! What exactly are they trying to say there?!
  20. http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-13506963,00.html A rectangular blob of dark blue paint has been "snapped up" at auction for almost 1 million UK pounds. Can anyone beat that to prove the world is mad.
  21. Yes a good result that. A bit too late mind... but we can only hope.
