  1. Really getting into trance at the moment thanks to a really good DJ at the club I go to.
  2. You may want to put a thread up in the Snow Talk forum at Ski . Com . Au There are a number of SYD based people on the forums.
  3. Never been that unlucky (touches all wooden objects within easy reach)
  4. If I know the snow will last the day then I will take a break. I usually hang out till everyone else comes back from lunch abd ski school starts again, then take a break, but if the snow is gettign chopped I call it quits for the day then.
  5. Well, that was 10 minutes of my life I won't see again, but it is pretty funny.
  6. I think they should be optional, but there use could be encouraged more. I would also say optional in the park, but make it clear that it would be preferred if you wore a helmet. A lot more consumer education is required about their use, but the last decision whould be that of hte user.
  7. Well, went to the parte', but it was cold and raining (on and off) so I didn't go for a swim. Did get to watch a very drunk, very pretty redhead run in and out of the surf and get herself wet, then had to help her back up the beach to the house Drank too much, but didn't get arrested, so all in all, a successful evening.
  8. 1) Gotta lose weight, and keep it off 2) Get my business up and running successfully 3) Be a nicer person to people and the world (Think global act local)

  10. OK folks, I am outta the office as of now. Have a great night tonight See you all in the new year
  11. Go to Dick Smiths. they usually have all the different convertors. Got my UK-AU convertor there so I could charge my phone, camera, Discman while I was there. If you have multiple devices that all use different chargers, take them all with you to DS's and see if they can sell you one with a multiposition switch, and various plug ends so you can charge everything with one charger. Saves heaps of weight and space.
  12. Um, I have a confession to make, I am a discussion board junkie I post on the following forums: Sno Info, or properly: ski.com.au Snow Net forums Works Escorts which is about small English Ford cars, before you get the wrong idea. and Austin 1800 forum So it shouldn't be too hard to work out what my 2 "hobbies" are.
  13. Going to a parte' at a friends place near the beach, might go for a midnight swim
  14. Quote: Originally posted by db: well, it is clear fact that japanese snow is different to foreign snow, so it follows that the domestic ice is also different. Damn obvious I would have thought. Didn't one Japanese company have a jingle (or ad copy) about how their equipment worked best on Japanese snow. I think some-one posted on the DB at one time.
  15. Watched a guy go down one run, straight-lining it on a board, with all his weight on the back foot. He would go about 50m flat out, fall over, get up, go about 70m flat out, fall over, get up.... and repeat to the bottom of the hill, then go and do it all again. I went elsewhere.
  16. At "Family Xmas Dinner" this year, we have a chef living at the residence, so we have something like 2kg 50-75 prawns, 4kg chicken breasts, 4kg fillet of beef, 1 dozen 1L bottles champagne (sorry, "sparkling NV wine"), 1 dozen Alacante Bouche, 1 dozen Boujelaise (sorry "short vintage, soft red style wine"). Gonna be an early start to get through all of that
  17. Had both ears done at 14, but they both got infected and left hard lumps. Had the left lobe done when I was 22, but the right ear still had the lump until I was about 30+. After the left ear (when it took them 3 goes to get it right and I ended up with 1 hole at the front and 2 at the back and blood running down my neck) I gave up on getting piercings.
  18. Well, I'm at work, but not really working. I love this job sometimes.
  19. Quote: Originally posted by Oh-Hairy-One: Raury Why 3 pairs of gloves?? One pair on my hands, one pair in the drying room and one pair in my room as spares. I hate cold wet feet and I hate cold wet hands. I snowseal my gloves so not too much gets in that way, but occassionally (or more often) I get a bit of snow in the top of the gloves. 3 pairs also means that I can afford to lend a pair to someone if needed. Actually I also carry a couple of cheap nylon pairs to use in snowball fights so I don't ruin my lovely AuClair ski gloves. Quote: Originally posted by Ocean11: And indee

We can take pics and film and you can be in my next movie! ... Pick me, pick me :jumping_up_and_down_waving_hand_icon: Yeah, I soooo miss boarding I might have to go to our indoor slope for a slide. After my first year I had pretty bad SDS, then the next year was bad, and then the next year was bad SDS. Next season, work is threatening to not allow people to take holidays during ski season (not coz it's ski season, but for some other r

That really annoyed me. Used to drop monitors from the roof of a 4 storey building into the dumpster - very satisfying
  22. It happens in Australia too. Quite often I am tempted to give some little shyte a smack up the back of the head. Typical scene: Child pulls stuff off supermarket shelf Parent say "Thats naughty Jimmy, I don't want you to do that again" Child runs off and pulls more stuff of shelf Parent say "Thats naughty Jimmy, I don't want you to do that again" Raury walks past and accidently knock child while trying to retrieve something off the shelf "sorry" - NOT

Add: SPF 15 moisturiser SPF 30 sunblock SPF 15 zinc cream blockout (to cover sunspots there from not using sunblock) Oh, and don't just wear it when it is sunny, you get just as burnt if it is cloudy.
