  1. We started thinking about what pictures we'd like to use today. So many from this year that it's always so hard to whittle away at!
  2. Thanks GG, my wife said she likes my iPad mini but would like a bigger one to hold, so I'm curious what the difference is. I'll have to go to a denkiyasan some time soon.
  3. GG, how much lighter is the iPad Air than the regular iPad or iPad mini?
  4. I don't shave regardless, so I guess so!
  5. Gosho, Kyomizudera, Arashiyama, and Kinkakuji should do you right. I'm very close the the Kyoto/Nara border and prefer Nara myself because it's not as crowded, a bit more chilled, but not as happening either though. My family and I go relax at Heijyokyo quite a bit as the parks are huge.
  6. I'm always quite polite in restaurants, too. I always acknowledge the servers as I never want anybody to think what a rude foreigner.
  7. God I could go for one of those right now!
  8. It's going to be a terrible season in Japan, so I'd strongly recommend you cancel all plans and save yourself the trouble
  9. I really like it when students bake sweets. It brightens my day, but I told them if they want a higher grade that they need to bribe me with money!
  10. Another good sign by TEPCO! http://ajw.asahi.com/article/0311disaster/fukushima/AJ201310250089
  11. Lol! Damn that looks a bit too cold for me to ski naked like that. They're nuts!
  12. Tubby, we have two of those U sticks. They look silly don't they? I can imagine the teachers trying to stop the perpetrator by asking him to stand still for a moment while they follow protocol and go get the stick to restrain him. In all likelihood he'll bail before anybody can catch him.
  13. Def don't have the cash flow to buy a jacket, and hopefully don't have to for a decade or two.
  14. Nice MagSeven, those are some long hours in the saddle. I bet the countryside up there must be amazing for cycling, and not having to worry about traffic can mostly only be found along the river around here. I try to use obscure mountain roads, but they seem to be used by the most sketchy people, some of which drive like F-1 drivers sometimes
  15. A MIPS helmet? I had to look that up. When I'm ever in the market for a new helmet I'll have to remember this.
  16. I don't know which is better of the three, but I have goretex and have never had any issues in any weather conditions so I'm a fan. It'd be interesting to compare different fabrics and see the difference if any. I think we're just paying for the logo.
  17. What did you buy Orange? I went for a run the other day when it was raining and enjoyed splashing through some puddles, but I really enjoy cycling so much more than running. Ive gotten into a rhythm with the weights and the movements are smooth finally, and I do them maybe two to three days a week. They still make me sore, but not in a bad way thank god!
