Taken up tennis since I came here. Handy I live 100m from a few tennis courts and a good club with lots of young people. Helps with my Japanese too. Never really played before I came here.

I think I might know that one! Is it Kandatsu Kogen in Yuzawa? The top of the main gentle slope quad lift? The slope you can see behind is that really steep one.

I took a ride on the Dragondola this season and kind of agree. It seemed to suck up a fair amount of time and I wouldn't want to be using it more than once. I think if I were in that area for a few days, I'd use the bus too early morning and stay in the one place, ie Kagura or Naeba. They are both easily worth a day.

Took up snowboarding when I moved here to Niigata.

Living in Nagaoka helped.

Interesting to hear that. I'm living in Nagaoka in Niigata just to the north of you. Haven't been to Hakuba or anywhere over in Nagano yet just here in Niigata - Yuzawa and Myoko areas.
