  2. hey Ippy, any comments on how Burton sizing compares to Nike sizing ? I'm currently riding Burton Rulers and am interested in the ZF1's. I like my Rulers for their stiffness but they give me a bit of heel lift. Which Burtons were you in and how does the stiffness compare to the ZF1 ? I tried a pair of DK thought they were a bit soft... could also be due to the DK's articulated ankle.

  5. still rocking my Oakley A-Frames with HI yellow lenses. got a new pair of Von Zipper Fishbowls... they're ridiculously huge but the peripheral vision is amazing. looking forward to trying them out in about a week's time
  6. based on my experience buying ice hockey gear which has similar export restrictions... a lot of ebay retailers don't give a toss. just putting that out there...
  7. got a AK 2L Stagger last season... great jacket - absolutely no complaints. Only issue is the hood - if you wear a helmet, the hood won't fit over.

  10. i picked up this season's copy of "Snowboarder's Bible" (Japanese magazine) which is basically a huge gear guide and found the Japanese prices pretty shocking, especially with the strong Yen
  11. after hitting Japan you will not want to ski in Korea... it's just not worth it. it's cold, icy and crowded.
  12. Was in Niseko this year late March - early April and Mamabear's description is absolutely spot on.

  14. I flew from Hong Kong to Sapporo on 2 Apr to hit Niseko... there were 40 people on my flight. I also noticed that mine was the only international flight landing. Niseko was pretty quiet... mostly Japanese people with very few westerners.

  18. Skier from age 3 to 18 frequently each season... skiied 2x in my 20's & 30's total. Picked up boarding in Niseko at 36 in Feb and there's no looking back.
