Is it Wakabuna Kogen, muikabochi?

I felt last season I saw more skiers than I had, at the skijo I attend.

I think I am losing a bit of weight by just not having as big an appetite and walking to work. I would rather spend 45 minutes walking than using public transport and getting there quicker in this weather. Public transport is not fun at this time of the year.

The Fly. And then The Fly 2 which was not really very good.

Remember in the days, weeks and months after when we were promised that there was no meltdown? I wonder to what extent they really knew the truth then.

I have never had 'caramelised onion chutney' but it sounds good. Whats the difference between 'UK bacon' and that I can get here?

Bit of a generally flat area there. Can't even guess.

I can never really understand how people get into religion in the first place, especially if they were not brought up in it.

They are both fine places and as muikabochi said have similarities. I would find it hard to choose one, I love them both - both my type of place. For lots of people Zao is about the monsters and stuff and there's no real equivelant at Nozawa. But the skiing is quality. At both.

When I go outside of Japan, I sometimes can't quite believe how many huge grossly overweight people there are.

Owani Onsen?

People just relate airports with hassle, myself included. It's difficult to shake that image.

As it starts heating up and getting less than comfortable weather.... Isn't onsen + ski just a perfect combination. Soaking in an outdoor onsen after a great day in the snow, with a beer. Perfect. I just wanted to say that.

I have a very relaxing summer running water and wind ringing sound on mine.

Interesting discussion. Very nice set up muikabochi and I see you take some equally nice shots as well. I have a D90 Nikon camera and just a few lenses, it has been a good camera but I'm thinking of stepping up a bit and getting a new camera soon. Not sure which quite yet.

That Megaquake series is quite interesting, though they could do without the "drama" bits and equally dramatic music throughout. It's funny I think people have said that Tokyo is overdue for quite a while now. The recent events seems to have brought that forward somewhat. But really other than having a grab bag etc, what preparation can be done by you and me?

I try to find something good in each season. The summer is the least 'comfortable' though. Perfect excuse to run to the hills!
