To ski school or not ski school?

After a relative being injured by a complete beginner crashing into them at high speed, I think there should be a requirement to have at least a beginner sticker!! Some people out there are dangerous! Not just for themselves but for others.

    Is Kusatsu (Gunma) still open?

I love Kusatsu. I did hear the ski resort was kind of struggling and that they might not be too bothered by the scale-down. Do correct me if I am wrong anyone.
  3. Not sure people expect free service, I just think It could be explained a little better by the people booking tourists to the area. They tend to prefer conveniently not mention stuff that costs extra.
  4. When you say 'everyone', you actually mean everyone? I don't call it three monkeys temple and neither do my friends.

    "Yankee"

It's true there seem to be less of those monstrosities around. Can't be a bad thing!

The 'b-tourist' band, a strange contraption made of an elastic fabric stretched between two plane seat headrests, allows passengers to “quietly eat, read a book, watch a movie and sleep without being disturbed” in their own private area. It comes with two plastic rings that can be used to adjust the width of the band on both sides, to create either a full partition for complete privacy or a partial wall to allow interaction with other fliers or the cabin crew. It also provides a place to rest your head while sleeping by connecting the centre points of the bottom edges of the band, and has a side pocket where small items can be stored. Created by Idan Noyberg and Gal Bulka, two graduates from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Israel, the strip is said to be lightweight, easy to pack and assemble, and can fit several seat plane seats.
  10. Lots of the obvious ones Hakuba area Yuzawa/Minamiuonuma area Myoko/Madarao/Nozawa area Shiga Kogen/Kita Shiga area Minakami/Katashina area Zao area (though sadly it's a bit on it's own) And then there's lots of less obvious ones. All depends on the kind of experience want, of course.
  11. I have been, but I just didn't find it as amazing as I was led to believe it would be. In my experiences there are many places more interesting; and would make an excellent holiday to Japan. But things like this often take on a life of their own don't they.
